Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here uses XBox Live over Wi-Fi. Do you use the official 360 Wireless Network Adapter, or an ethernet bridge (if so, which)? How do you find gaming on it, particularly in action games/shooters? How far is your 360 from your router/access point and what is physically in-between the two? What access point/router do you have? Is it a/b/g/n? What speed is your Internet service and which ISP? What wi-fi security settings do you have on (eg. access control, encryption, etc)?
My house has always had problems with wi-fi but a new brand of router *may* have fixed them. I'm tempted to sign up to Live Gold at last but would like to hear your experiences with using it over wi-fi to make a more informed decision. My experience with ethernet bridges has never been very positive, nor with wi-fi in general for that matter, but I've read some positive reviews on the official adapter so am curious. -------------

360 with wireless network adapter. Only problems I have had are the kiddies who do nothing but scream down the mic.

I use a Linksys wireless-g game adapter, model WGA54G
works very well. tbh I'd rather be plugged right into the modem, but that cant always happen. not to mention that would involve some drilling and whatnot. |

I use a Belkin Wireless Access Point. Works like a charm. |

Same here, if you have any problems with it don't assume its the adapter though, check other wireless devices (my mouse takes down wi-fi in my entire house if i have it set to the wrong channel...).

If you have a wireless laptop, google Internet connection sharing or ICS.
Using the free network cable that you get with the console, you can piggyback the laptops wireless. |
