Originally by: Asp'el I have lost several Macks over the past 3 weeks to this type of ganking. and as he says - 2-3 seconds they are dead and podded, which is true. By the time you are hit the whole thing is over... Which I dont fully understand... Personally I think there is something wrong with this as a mack can tank pretty well if skilled correctly, however they are able to take out multiple macks/hulk with one hit from a smartbomb within 2/3 seconds.
While it may be fun for you, the fun you are having is no fun for me. I'm not a PvP'r not skilled that way, yet now I am getting hit in high-sec just because you think it's fun, or that you have self appointed yourself as "Bot-Patrol"... Just because someone mines does not make them a macro... Some of us mine because we want to or because we build... The sec hit your taking allows you to bring it back up rather quickly and lets you right back in to hit me again within 3-7 days, yet I am still recovering from my losses when I get hit again.
Others have not started do this as they see it as a quick way to have their own little fun, so getting ganked twice in one day really starts to add the straw to the camels back.
I know of a few players who have left for a bit due to the "No Fun" factor. I know, I know, let em go blah blah blah, but when I look and see the eve pop down to 20k when it was running at 45k it makes me wonder just how much damage is being done....
Call this a whine if you will... but you have to remember we are all playing the same game, just some of us are playing a different style, and while you force me to PvP, I have no way of forcing you to MINE....
Feels like an obvious troll, however another suggestion is take some of the profits you earn, or pressure your corp to take revenue you earn for them and hire professional mercs to do your dirty work. Not all pvp needs to be by your hands, you can still play smart and mean without ever having to undock.
Aside from this, one question that always bugged me is instead of hitting the low rent belt huggers, why is there never seemingly a concerted effort against mission runners? They have attitude, ISK and a whole pile of complex/faction/officer mods on ****fit ships. It seems a pretty obvious choice?
