Edited by: Pinciukas on 28/06/2009 17:54:35 Hi guys, i just would like to ask which fits of those ships (pilgrim and falcon) would be better for solo pvp:
Falcon with this fit: http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/8599/falcono.jpg
Pilgrim with this fit: http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/7536/pilgrimv.jpg
So which one of those ships with those fittings would be better for solo pvp? Well falcon got more dps and he can also jamm. Pilgrim jas less dps and he can drain cap. What`s your opinions? Would both of this ships be viable?

I'd say neither, but it all depends on what you use them for.

Pilgrim is far superior in solo pvp due to its ability to ensure the target is neuted after a while. ECM is chance based and a Pilgrim is generally better due to using Drones.
Swap the Trimarks for Egress rigs and swap out the MWD for a AB. You can move to the target cloaked so you want an AB (which can't get scrammed). Fill low slots with DCU II, 1600mm, 2xEANM and a Med repper.
Use one medium neut, two small ones.

That Falcon has Blasters and no MWD. Together, that equals FAIL.
I have experimented some with new Falcon setups, but I will probably not use it solo. I generally fit rails on mine though, not blasters.

Pilgrim for solo
Because all the time what kills your target will be it's neuted cap. Then your drones will eat it slowly.
Falcon and ECM looks cool but if his tank is still active he may tank you long enough to do some bad things ;) anyway falcon is 2nd best recon for solo nowadays. |

If by better, you mean "more fun," then the answer is going to be the Pilgrim. You'll actually feel like you're getting a fight from your target with the Pilgrim. If you ever get a kill with the Falcon, you're going to feel hollow and empty inside, since each time a Falcon is used to get a kill, it eats at the soul of its pilot until the pilot has no soul left at all.
Go with the Pilgrim unless you want to be a soulless husk. |

Small Armor Repairer is a waste of a low-slot. I'd ditch the Egress Port Maximizer for another Trimark seeing the Capacitor Booster, too.

That's not just any old small armor repper. I'd say that particular one would be worthwhile fitting...kind of pricey, though.

This fit works very well, it's what I use. But I have swapped out some of the fitting for faction fittings. Works great against cruisers, once their cap is gone the ships die quite well, you can always take care of drones first while they watch if you like
Great for ransoming your target once they have no power as they know they have no choice but to either die or pay up (or I guess they could self-destruct). The small repper comes in very handy - go to safe spot and rep up also good for just takeing the edge off of the enemy DPS till they can't attck you anymore.
Plus the ship has a good reputation now I think, for being the Pirates ship of choice. All we need now is a module that changes your ship class on other peoples scanners so it looks like a frig or something
Anywoo, like always it depends on your own personal playing style. But above all have fun with your ships and fly safe (but not too safe ). -----------------------------------------------

Not necessarily - it has a Covops cloak and a scram, meaning that it will decloak in blaster optimal and will stop the other guy from MWDing away. It's commonly accepted that reason one needs a MWD is to get into range - but that both isn't necessary here and in fact doesn't help at all since the approach will be under cloak.

Easier said than done. It has some small amount of merit bubble camping but then again, so does a rupture/thorax.
