Maybe the file mismatch error has something to do with start.ini?

I think it shouldn't be like this, especially on Singularity server.

OK, for me the auto updater didn't work so I tried the manual install.
However the install keeps "completing" after about 400M of the 2.1G file no matter how many times I try to download it.

Same thing happening here as well, also the link to the bittorrent download is pointing to the old client. This always happens, it will take them a few days to sort it out.
Hope you set a long skill training, I did

One extremely annoying issue.....
I have 8 station containers in my home station. Before this patch, they'd always be in the same order (ie. the 'Loot' one would be #3). Now, they'll be in a random order whenever I dock in the station.
I'm sorting by type. Sorting by name solves this issue, but messes up everything else as items in the hangar will no longer be sorted by type either, and will have everything spread out between each others.

Since the latest patch I cannot repair my heated modules by using Nanite Repair Paste anymore. It starts repairing but then it stops, the Nanite Paste is gone and the module still damaged?! After a retry the module is still damaged but more Paste gone!
CCP, what the.... is up? Every new Patch just brings in more problems. Stop bringing new Features and Content and start fixing the game!
As someone else already told, the Sound issues are also not fixed. Same about the Aggrotimer when undocking from a station or reaproaching into sentry range... (Timer is down - sometimes more than 5minutes!) and you still get new aggro?!
FIX eve pls

I think it shouldn't be like this, especially on Singularity server.
This is a correct start.ini for Singularity, when Singularity is running a release candidate for Tranquility.

As a guess, I would say that has something to do with this:
Quote:
Need for Speed
* The inventory service, which keeps track of the ownership and location of everything in the game, has been changed to use the new database service backend to connect and communicate with the Tranquility database. This will yield noticably less network I/O and memory usage than the previous system. The performance of most inventory related operations will improve, but there may be cases where performance will degrade. We fully expect a good performance gain on the whole though. The in-memory inventory storage has had a new index added which will address "The Jita Problemô where performance has been degrading over time as more items are primed in local storage. Maintaining an extra index induces some overhead, but frees the server from having to search through very large sets in highly populated systems. Degredation of searches over time is now a function of the player population at a given location and not a function of the number of items in a location as before.
At least now the items should show up faster giving you that much extra time to find what you were looking for in the first place!

Edited by: Hell''o on 29/06/2009 22:02:06 Probing became extremly hard - please chek this. Or it's gonna be as it is now? then i must go up to lvl5 (atm lv4) in all probing skills and add some rigs to ships + sisters probes? Only then i can get result 100 percents with 8 probes? Or it was only specific sites i was lucky to spot them:
Plex of drones 5/10 before this patch was easier to find 8/10 :S ladar: "PDW-09FX Frentix Distribution Base" I was lucky to get him up to 97 percents with 8 probes hard to find but gang mate did it (he has sisters probes). And we found only Cold Turkey,Cartography: The Art of Treasure Map Making,Sweet Leaves... and so on :))))

Was messing around on the market when I suddenly started getting the message "The Heimatar market region is currently opening up for business and is not yet ready. Please try again in a few minutes, or refer to another market region for your trading needs". It has since started working again. Dunno if it is patch-related but I've never seen it on TQ during the day before.

Stealth Bomber bonuses do not seem to be applying at all. Imagine my surprise when I come out of cloak to gank a hulk only to have my torpedoes which once had a range of 50km only able to shoot 16km and with no racial damage bonus. Luckily we had a covert ops ship with a point on the hulk just in case and I was able to close and kill the hulk anyway, but boy was that embarrassing!

they're called subscribers
but i don't think QA should be blamed, it's a MASSIVE game, no one can test everything... better question is why things aren't being fixed in such manner that stupid bugs cannot happen over and over and over and over...
i also noticed random container positioning...

Blog: Sovereignty Calculation 14days != 14days Sov Changes: 2009-06-29
Again. With your extended downtime you've a bug within your Sov Calculation Mechanics. You calculated which Systems Gained Sov (Sov 0 > 1) and which system lost sovereignty (sov 3 > 0 or 1 (different alliance) but you forgot to check the system upgrades from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3.
I count 30 Systems which had the previous sov already for 13 days and today (day 14) those system were on the list to get their upgrade. Additionally I predict that now in the next 2 weeks all system which should get their sov upgrade (1->2 or 2->3) will get delayed for 1 day.
It's not the first time this happens. And it all happes during extended downtimes. My database has more examples like this. Check the blog for more details. In the next posting i'll give you a list of all systems that missed their upgrade.
btw. Please check your extended downtime scripts and procedures. You might missed to execute the sov upgrade check script or whatever scripts you run for doing the maintenance during those downtimes. I had already enough people asking me about strange sovereingty countings, etc. I had also stories where people counted the days were sitting before downtime in the system to secure it and waited for the downtime to online the cyno jammer and it came back with the non-upgraded state.
Please take this serious and check your extended downtimes procedures/scripts.
