quote/ Whole thread.
Great thoughts are like chemical catalysts, they start fires.
This is indeed the best chronicle. I felt different emotions the entire way through. From joy to fear to frustration.
"Think for yourself." Needs more fullstops. Edited "Think. For. Yourself."
Do you happen to know Kevin from my college dorm? I heard some of his views(ignorant-flavoured) from this chronicle. Hoping someone raised his IQ before he forgot how to breathe(not really).

No, you are wrong about being self righteous. The whole idea of changing history information is just stupid. Everyone should at least know that every bit of Information is stored on multiple computers and making changes to all of them is practically impossible.
Also in the very least the Caldari, Amarr and even Minmatar, not speaking about minor Factions and independent Organisations would have their own backups of Data.
So the whole idea is just borrowed from 1984 but at the same time invalidates itself because it doesn't fit into the background.
But who am I to complain, now it is the Gallentes turn again to be ****ed. Just like the Minmatar with their Deus Ex Machina Elders, the Amarr with Zombie Queen Jamyl,or the Caldari who got their corporate culture overthrown in favor of a great dictator.
Most likely the Federation will be turned into a poor copy of a Starship Troopers (The Movie) Federation.
See that stick up your arse? Yeah take that out plz. Some of us enjoyed it.
You say you aren't role-playing, yet you take the characters and story very seriously, and even point out possible logical faults in this fictitious chronicle (So yes, you're roleplaying).
Please come up with a better chronicle if it was so bad kthx

The best Chronicle I've read so far as I see it. My first post on the forum, by the way!

"We were supposed to go over the basics of ancient Caldari history, which was an irony and a half since we're at war with them in the present."
This is not an "irony", lol. Need to check up on the meaning of that word, I think. :) It's a shame, these little lacks of polish, along with grammatical errors etc., really let some of these writings down. Surely you can get somebody to proof-read these things before you release them? It doesn't matter how good the premise of a bit of prose is, a discerning (and "discerning" doesn't mean "picky") eye will always be left cold by poor writing technique and errors.
Other than that, quite liked it, but as others have said, feel like you cast the Gallente and Caldari in the wrong roles. If you did it deliberately, sort of doesn't ring true. Would have expected the actions of the student in a Caldari, not a Gallente.

This story's protagonist is a real numb-skull.

brilliant chronicle deff kept me reading till the end. I like the caracter of the people in the story the history teacher the student the story focused on and the student who was the top in their class and posibly the university. They reflected that idea of being i guess u could say passivly aggressiv. they seam like the kind of people who clearly have something they believe in and know what there talking bout to the point where when they open their mouths to speak its such a ston idea that it resonates through the air cutting off any other opinion but their own. this making the few words they choose to add in the conversation stronger than the entire point another person made. Then to pin those kind of people againced each other deffinitly kept me reading till the end.

This is an excellent chronicle documenting the abhorrent sacrifice of values the Federation has undergone. While Foiritan seemed so much like a blessing to the Gallente left, it seems that he is all too willing to compromise his values in the face of political danger.
Gallente must never shy away from the truth, we must not become what we fight against.

I dunno, this came off to me as a cheap take on 1984, with logical issues as mentioned earlier in the thread. Meh.
But then, I figured the Eve canon was shot to heck at the loltitan point :/ ----

Awesome chronicle, A++
What really strikes me though, is that not a single person posting here noticed that This is already true in our current western education, we study a very biased view about all history, ours and other's!
and while we're not yet at the point of arresting a professor for teaching a more neutral view - I am assuming that!- we're not too far from it; just show some interest in eastren religions and cultures [especially that one] and you'll be flagged and monitored. Look how foreigners are treated by security agencies, it'll tell you enough if you look at the actual situation.

LOL, did that student come back through time to post on our forum? I see the exact same mindset, which is also visible in many other posts; it's funny that some people really believe they're being tought the real history, I can say without doubt that at least 50% of the history is a doctored version.

This is an awesome Chronical. One of the best IMO that wasn't a series.
I am a teacher in real life and I have to say this hit the mark on observations by students and how a teacher might work.
Easy to understand and just a good story.
Love it.
