I've run at least 5 L5s in a Velator before.
And I'm not joking. You just have to know what I'm talking about. -CEO of AC-AF- |

Key word must be "run".

He's dual clienting and calling it solo, it's debatable really. Does make me wonder if I could do the same with an abaddon and a RR domi. Might be worth a try. -----------------------------------------------------

that should work pretty well as long as your going for as big a buffer as you can get. neut towers are par for ever 5 ive researched.
the previous 5 (where i was tanking) with a group, using a tri-marked megathron (relegated to pvp now), tanking was not the issue, i made the mistake of using 350mm's instead of 425mm's which made the mission drag on forever.

dual boxing =/= solo, lets be fair. If there are 2 ships in the mission, it's not solo, regardless of who's flying them.

This.
Solo = one ship, not multi-boxing several ships that could just as easily be other people.

One could say just as easily: solo = 1 person in front of the computer(s). Just to play the devil's advocate. Not that it really matters as finishing a lvl5 mission isn't rocket science anyway... --

you can get serious LP also with l5s in highsec ;) and about the Rokh-fitting, for remote repping I found higher resistances to be much better in effect than faster recharge or bigger shield. I play some l5s solo in my full-passive Drake, its ok.

the rokh gets a shield resist bonus for each level of caldari battleship. both my therm and kinetic resistances where in the high 80%'s, so adding another set of hardeners really wasnt justified over a tracking computer and a web (gallente navy likes to get under 10K). I just ran a drones mission and since most ships orbit beyond 30K i let go of the web and TC for more hardeners.
the idea behind the large shield buffer was to buy enough time that i can aggro the entire room onto one ship so the RR can warp in safely without putting on a tank.
p.s. much thanks to abyss wyrm for his video database.

If you feel like getting remote repping constitutes solo work, I'd like to challenge you to a one on one
I'm afraid you still have yet to join the ranks of those who have soloed level 5's in a T1 battleship.

If you feel like getting remote reps = solo, I'd love to challenge you to some one versus one :P
I'm afraid you've not yet joined the ranks of the solo level 5 runners.

You can sneak into low sec were the L5 agents are and turn down missions to pass them up to check with the other agents that are normal all clustered into one system for some reason and sooner or latter one of them will give you a mission that takes place in high sec. Then you sneak back out jump into your ship and go wtf pwn'z all over them mission finsh it. Jump back into your cover ops frig sneak back to the agent and turn it in. Repeat.
