well, I wasn't actually, but one of my corpmates was. And so were a bunch of WT's.
I had just logged in and corp mail lights up "Hey Solty, can you come to Amarr?"
"Sure", I say, "what's going on?"
"I'm being camped in by our WT's - they're outside the station. Let's kill them!"
"OK!!!" I said. And was on my way.
A quick wave to one of the WT's sitting in a 'geddon on the gate as I jumped past him into Amarr and then headed to station. Yep. There they were. A malediction, a drake, and a geddon all sitting there looking pretty. Since I'm in a T2 shuttle (Ares), I dock up for more favourable armament. My Domi. And my corpmates in his favourite megathron. Let the fun begin!
We undock. Sure enough the malediction goes for tackle. On me. *facepalm #1*. I lock the geddon and through one volley of neuts at him just to say "hi, how are ya" and deagress. "Trap" sprung. The geddon I waved at jumps into system and warps to the station. A second drake shows up out of a safe spot. I wave again and redock as the aggression timer ends with me in 2/3 armor. Now we know what we're dealing with.
A quick repair and I undock again. So does my corpmate. Malediction is the first target - just because. Dual webbed, pointed, and yes, he's aggressed already so he's not going anywhere... warrior II's make short work of him.
Short range geddon is the next target - 3 x neut cycles, corpmate hammering on him with blasters, my Ogre II's come over and help out - bye bye geddon.
Dock. Repair. Get a convo from a neutral that's been watching the fun. He's got a warp in on sniper geddon buddy that I waved to when I jumped into system. Corpmate and I fleet him up, undock, warp to a planet, and warp back - right on top of the geddon. Make short work of him as his drake buddy tries to fly in and save the day. I think it was an "oh crap" moment for him as the geddon popped and he turned around to flee... too late. Double webbed, pointed, tripple neuted. Praetor II's ftw. Bye bye drake.
Neutral has been engaged by the last drake. Alliance leader. Neutral's in a loki. Corpmate's mega and my domi scream towards the drake ... (ok.. more like crawl) get into range (yes, it's still alive - but not for long) and engage. Mission completed.
Kills: 1 x malediction 2 x drake 2 x armageddon
Losses: None.
All before breakfast and my first cup of coffee.
Geez I love this game.
Killboard is here.

Believe it or not, they dec'd us first. Silly buggers. Then they retracted. So we dec'd them.
They love to mission and mine while involved in a war. They'll learn sooner or later.
Or not.

WAT!? People talk to you through corpmails? Interesting.

Dock. Repair.
*facepalm*
Either you stay in space and kill them, or you dock up for whatever reason you seem fit. Docking games is the lamest thing you can do tho. There should be a diminishing return, people that dock + repair, undock, dock and repair within X minutes shouldn't be allowed to undock (or allowed to dock) for another an hour or something.
Yawwwwwwn. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

As soon as CCP addresses the logoffski's and other "game mechanics" that "are not exploits", I'll be happy to discuss this fine point with you.

When you are outnumbered you do what is necessary to get the win.
I'm not aware of any arm-twisting to get those fools to set up a camp on the station in the first place.

Edited by: aetherguy881 on 03/07/2009 05:05:00 Very nice Soltuer, almost reminds me when you wardec'd us. Unfortunately our FC for most of the war was trying to prevent any casualty on our end, which cost us more.
You guys know what you're doing and you do it well.

Yeah, but folks don't just do it when they're outnumbered, they do it all the time unless they have a 6v1 advantage with 2 falcons on backup I've seen targets in battleships remaining glued to their station even though I was by my lonesome at 70km plinking away with sentry drones. The very idea of somehow getting a warp point behind me to gank the crap out of me doesn't even seem to cross their minds...
Nice kills btw Sol --------------------------------------------------- Recruitment thread |
