With the introduction of sized rigs in Apoc 1.5 the price for the current rigs (which will be large) will scyrocket. Why:
1)Assume supply of salvage materials remains constant i.e. as of today.
2) Small rigs and medium rigs are introduced so rigging a T1 cruiser/frig becomes viable. These ships also tend to go boom more often in PVP and although salvage mats for smallers rigs will be far less than the existing ones we come to the inevitable -->
3)Increased demand for salvaged materials and hence price goes up.
To meet the increased demand will make salvaging more profitable than it is today so more will take the shadow path of the ninja.
There is a way for missioners to respond to the above swarm of locusts coming their way. Many mission for standings/lps only and they do no bother even to salvage. I urge those to give away bookmarks of their wrecks.
Although I foresee a new breed of players - the missioners turned griefers. Those who will give free bookmarks to more than one person just to have them fight over the salvage.
The age of the griefbear maybe upon us soon...

This can only be a good thing. More money from salvage = more missionrunners who want to salvage their own fields = more BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW when a ninja enters their mission.

Nope I think it will likely only slightly increase, maybe change the demand of certain types of rig. Currently damage and shield resist rigs are popular for smaller ships for being cheap. Small propulsion rigs will likely be very popular and making those salvage components very valuable.

To my knowledge they haven't said weather the rig sizes will be ship specific (say like ABs and MWDs are) as it stands all they have said is that the smaller rigs will give smaller effects. also I don't think you take into account the reduction in demand there will be for large rigs.

If you were reading the development forum for the past year you would prob know that 99% we will be seing different sized rigs (as also noted recently) not weaker versions of the existing ones. Smaller does not mean weaker and no developer has mentioned that "smaller rigs will give smaller effects" as you have quoted. Correct me if you will pls.
So yes it will most likely be like propulsion mods and and istead of grid limitaitons you will have calibration issues.

Only time I find frigate sized ships of mine with rigs on are when I snap em up off contracts for cheap. Save me bothering to look so hard.
