This thread helps prove EVE's average player age is definate higher then other MMO's :)

I love these threads. See some old favourites and good recommendations of titles I've missed. =)
My list?
- Descent - Probably the first computer game I ever played.
- Mechwarrior 2/MW2: Mercenaries - Still the definitive Mech simulator, in my opinion.
- X-Wing/TIE Fighter - The originals for IBM/DOS. I can't remember how many months I spent playing these
- Steel Panthers - Favorite hexbased turn strategy game
- Any of the LucasArts adventure games - Just damn funny as hell. =)
- Falcon 4.0 - Learning Curve was hard, but the best flight sim I ever played.
- Master of Orion II - The 4x Space Strategy by which all others are judged. =)
- Command & Conquer: Red Alert - Westwood was at the height of their powers then.

FreeSpace 2 was the last really engaging space sim I've played. X3 is really striking in it's visuals, and looks like an awesome game, but the huge learning curve and lack of good direction really keep me from diving into it as much as it should. Every time I go to play it it feels like EVE only in single player, which usually results in me closing the game and starting up my EVE client...
Still, X3 is worth a try though. You can get it off Steam.

Also Hard Drivin. The first polygon arcade game AFAIK. Also in thr early 90's i drooled of playing on a mechwarrior arcade. There was one in London. Never got a chance to play on it.
