some numbers from me (over the last 10 days). 1 account, CNR to clear the pockets and looting (in range wrecks) during the mission, cormorant (4/4 setup) to loot/salvage. all times include travel times.
all dps skills at 4 except missile bombardement at V and target painting at 3.
setups:
[Raven Navy Issue, CNR] Damage Control II Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System

Salvage Tackle I Salvage Tackle I Salvage Tackle I
salvaging at 3, dont even use an mwd.
while my fitting is way above average, my skills arent i guess. but as you can see, i go for max gank and not tank. my cap would be empty after 78 seconds if i permarun the booster. but i rarely have to use it.
method: accept mission, fly into it, kill e verything, bookmark the PERFECT wreck, so that you can loot/salvage one-way and dont have to fly back and forth, turn mission in, switch ship, loot/salvage. perfect drone management and stay focused on your mission. i usually read forums, watch vids etc when i do missions. but i was curious what my perfect income would be when i stay focused.
numbers.....

why is this a problem?
if all professions would have the same income wouldnt THAT be a problem?

- increase 0.0 income of risky professions (e.g. higher bounties) - drop meta 0 items from Lv 4 mission loot while keeping the current overall income of Lv 4 missions (higher bounties)
this will balance a lot

Edited by: Vhiskey on 24/07/2009 14:42:13 kerfira, some thoughts:
1) you would earn more isk/h if you¦d fly in a CNR. i fly a CNR and i make the same number per hour not taking LPs into account 2) to get a reasonable statistic you need the average of all Lv4 mission runners. ask yourself why AE still has 6 hours completion time when i can complete this mission in 37 minutes 3) ever thought about possible reasons why ccp want missions the way they are? 4) the real isk/h of playtime is made by trading. wanny nerf this as you need less skills and less effort to trade?

While high sec USED to be an intro, the game has changed. There is now much more of a disconnect in risk vs reward between low/null sec and high sec.
Several factors have contributed to that, but I think the two main ones are:
1. The control that mega-alliances like Goonsquad have over huge areas, effectively blocking those areas out for almost anyone else, including even larger corps.
thats bnot correct. i have 2 alts (clones) in delve and you can still rat there, do exploration, roaming and mission running. what you can not do is moon mining

summary:
1) we still have not proof that something is unbalanced
2) we still have no proof that ccp dont want it the way - unbalanced or not - it is
i am btw pretty sure that ccp knows quite exactly whats going on with missioning. so i think that things arent as unbalanced as you might think, kerfira, or ccp wants it like it is or - most probably - both.

Personally I certainly think it is unbalanced that one high-sec profession earns 3x more than the 2nd best, and earn at least the same as the best 0.0 ratting despite the huge difference in danger.
you havent proved that

Agree... However, that's partly the point of this thread. To make sure they have the information if they want it.
well, if they havent got the data, then because they arent interested in it or they arent able to get them. if they arent able to get them, they werent able to prove your data wrong or right. they wont just believe you . anyway, my guess is (from several threads in the past) that they pretty much exactly know whats going on with missions.

If proof is now a requirement to post something on EO, there'll be a drop of about 99% in posts.... I'm simply posting my POW, and also posting the numbers to support it.
what is EO?
anyway, where did i say that proof is a requirement to post? you make a statement as a fact (imbalance) back it with your numbers which are YOUR numbers and not average LV4 mission runner numbers
Quote: Turning it around, you haven't proven there ISN'T a problem, so you're not allowed to argue your POW either (by your new rule)!
i made a rule? wow, is it called "vhiskey theorem" in the scene? i dont have to prove something because i dont make claims such as: something is unbalanced or not. i am just arguing
Quote: As for your faith in CCP's omniscience, I don't share it. They do a decent job of running this game, but too many things are just allowed to slide as other things are changed, until they become woefully unbalanced and then a hurried attempt at fixing it is done (quite often badly).
err...faith? well, these kind of threads have come up dozens and dozens times before. do you really think ccp never noticed that although devs posted in those threads? or do you think the cant get the numbers of bounties or they lost their own loot/salvage tables?

Nope! There are far too many factors affecting mineral prices that you can deduce something from just pointing to one of them.
The most important one factor is probably that there is not much fighting going on, ie. no big loss of minerals (in their built form). Capital and Supercapital building sucked up an enormous amounts of minerals, but there's not much of that going on now (particularly given the expansion plans)....
i agree, there are lots of factors. so meta 0 loot is just one of them. unholy rage has removed a huge and signifcant amount from the market and mineral basket is still at the bottom. really manufactured t1 items will always be priced at the bottom so neither miners nor manufacturers will profit from removing meta 0 stuff from missions.
i used to be a big supporter of that idea but i now doubt that it would change anything
