From wht I've been told, everytime you or someone else mysteriously looses a sock in the wash, this is where it ends up in. And due to the game taking place so far into the future, both regions are crammed so full of socks that travel is impossible.

From wht I've been told, everytime you or someone else mysteriously looses a sock in the wash, this is where it ends up in. And due to the game taking place so far into the future, both regions are crammed so full of socks that travel is impossible.

I vaguely remember it being mentioned way back in June/July '03 that those regions will be opened up once the number of players online reaches a certain number.
Edit: A good way to open those regions would be to release Jump Gate blueprints from some distant future event.
Mega corps would pay almost anything to get hold of that tech and start building jump gates etc! Being the first to reach the outer regions and having all that territory to claim would be the ultimate goal!

if it's in the future, are the socks actually there yet? and, are you saying that i can go for a spin in my dryer and teleport to that region??

They should open those regions up and add more low sec empire space.
More people going into low sec by choise = more PVP = Good  (Says the ex carebear  )

Some of the unaccessible regions in the game are assigned to Polaris.
Presumably they're the systems where they perform their arcane rituals.
