I got stuck on a blackscreen on undocking, so I re-logged.
Now instead of having 48.9M SP I have
Current skills: 10 (skill points: 262,359)
This is a bit of a knockback, to be sure
Sooooooooooooooooooooo.... is the rifter still awesome?

Whilst I have lost 98% of my SP, there are some compensations
I just hit the MWD on my Rokh (for which I have no skills) I travelled 2.9AU in less than 10 seconds.
I'm not kidding.

I too, was once stuck in an alternate reality where things did not make sense. Obviously in this one you disagreed with yourself on the merits of EVE.

Your corp name has become eerily prescient...
Might I suggest taking your alliance name (somehow) and applying it to the situation?
That Rokh sounds awesome though!

Screenies! We want! However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

Welcome back to the real universe.
While the other one is fun (as long as you avoid the Platypus of Doom), one should not stay too long (due to the Platypus of Doom).

So completely by means of client side variations you can make your ship go super fast?

Edited by: Orthaen on 06/07/2009 00:11:50 The correct course of action is to fly to Jove space! Once in a lifetime opportunity...at your speed you could make it in 6 hours, as opposed to the 23000 years it would take the rest of us.
So yeah...fly to Jove space with a cyno generator, and sell access to virtually endless asteroid fields and make enough money to buy a new 50 million SP character in a few days.
Edit: So I read the thread, and you fixed it. How sad

Client doesn't store your SP. Its a serverside hiccup. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Basically this.
The client does a lot of strange things when the data coming from the server doesn't quite match up. But all that matters is the server-side data. This is why sometimes you can die and see yourself sitting on the gate, perfectly fine, being ignored by that gate camp. What you see doesn't matter, what everyone else saw was you dying horribly to the gate camp.
Until we have confirmation from people seeing him going this fast on their clients, it is nothing to worry about.

Wtf, I would have done the Jove Space idea. A temporary loss of all my SP is a fair trade for a free pass to the Joveans. And you could get some EPIC bookmarks in traditional space. If this isn't a huge lie, you've completely wasted your shot at EVE fame.

You don't get many chances to fly half an AU per second, or whatever that guy calculated it out to be. -CEO of AC-AF- |

Ever considered that the speed is only showing up clientside and not serverside? -

i'm astonished you can FLY a rokh WITH an MWD with only 10 skills and 262,359 sp.
I read the forums assuming there are no trolls, only really stupid people.

The funny thing was, there were noticeable side effects; I had cap, base speed speed, align time congruent with the zero nav skills my char sheet was showing.
Yet I was still able to active the T2 invuln, and indeed the MWD itself despite no skills showing.
And the glitch was still showing after 2 relogs, but when I relogged on a different install, it was completely gone.
