I'm running an asus A7N8X, it was only gaining time when the machine was running with windows XP.
It's XP SP2, and I'm running the latest BIOS version now.

For instance, If I set my calendar a head five days and I start training a five day skill, then instantly the skill says completion imminent.
Now that would be cool if it worked
completion imminent doesnt mean the skill is done, maybe (and probly) it will show completion imm. for 5day long, someone gonna have to try this

CCP are actually teleporting you to another dimension while you play eve but of course you don't notice that because of their 1337 gfx (see Matrix for more info!). Now as they teleport you the clock sometimes messes up due to a bug... sorta like that deja vu Neo has in the first Matrix. The effect usually goes away when they teleport you back to RL.

It doesn't change the clock, Windoze grabs the time when it starts and does not do so again, it may change the tick rate however which would adjust the apparent time, rebooting will pu tthe time right if your upset about it.

I have the Asus A7N8X mobo as well, and the damn thing changed it's clock, no YEAR, from 2004 to 8654 suddenly. Quite strange when Winzip was telling me that it no longer functioned after 2019 or something.

Ahh god damn now this helps.
I have the same MB but was wondering how the heck the time was changing all the time, slowly getting further and further foward.
It's not my imagination any more!

Or type net time /set if you don't want to reboot.

I think there is some inherent instability with the ASUS A7N range. I have the same issue, but only since I changed my mother board. I initially changed the Motherboard without reinstalling XP, (I know dmb) but the lag spike problem I have ( which still has not been actioned by any CCP staff ) started directly after this change, hence my reinstall to try to solve the problem. It did not.
Ticket: 040805-000129 Opened 08-05-2004. I've tried the nice route :/ |
