I'd like to see a slot exchange rig:
Rack Connection Relay Fitting limit: 1 per ship Calibration: 200 Details: Converts one slot into another. (can not exceed the 8 slot limit)
So it might be a HI LOW or LOW MED rig, it would allow ships to move one slot from one rack to another, and enable them to capitalise on strengths, enable greater specialisation or make up for weaknesses. The limit of one and high cost is to make players use them wisely and in conjunction with other rigs.
Examples of weakness modifications could include, but not limited to the Retribution, Wolf (Low -> Medium). Examples of specialisation enhancement might include the Hyperion (Med -> Low).
I would also like to see something for drone capacity. Suplimentary Drone Bay Limit: One per ship, Not available for Frigates Calibration: 150 Details: Increases the available drone space and bandwidth (25m3/25) at the cost of reduced cargo. (Static 50m3 reduction, 25 for drones, 25 for bandwidth equipment and bay modification)
The module would allow ships to use extra drones. The danger with this rig is it's use on Frigates that would allow them to gain between 80-100 dps in an instant. Therefore, the rig will not come in the small size due to the power requirements of the bandwidth generator. (Maybe give this rig a PG requirement)
Generally for rigs, I think that there is too much emphasis on using the rigs without stacking penalties to achieve exponential benefits, and some rigs offer bonuses that seem... well, lol.
Suggestion: - Increase the bonus per rig, but allow only rig of each type per ship. This would have implications for both PvE and PvP. Each individual rig would have a greater value and effect in its use, but would also allow a synergy type effect (Greater than the sum of the parts, certain combinations can cancel out the downsides of the rigs and still provide a bonus). - Introduce rigs for e-war that have more direct bonuses (Scramble range, web range, web effect, target painter effect etc) Enough for you to notice that a non e-war ship is using e-war rigs, and an e-war ship would be far more adept at it's role in combat. Linked with the 1 rig limit, this could create some powerful combinations and add an extra fitting element to the ship.
