Megapulse are fine. The only thing that needs a boost is other weapons.
Projectiles are **** atm and Neutrons use way too much cap. ________________________________________________________

Originally by: MoLeH /me points out that the megapulse shouldnt haev the same dmg mod as the megabeam.
Why? The shorter the range the higher the damage, that's the way it's suppose to be.
Close range = more risk but more damage
You might want to compare 425mm rails damage mod to Ion/Neutron Blasters.
425mm: 2.75x Ion Blaster: 2.81x Neutron Blaster: 3.5x
There is no difference in the damage mod between the megapulse/megabeam because the difference in range is a lot less. ________________________________________________________

Originally by: Selim The rate of fire is considerably higher, though. Blasters only have slightly lower rates of fire than railguns.
Uhm what? Do you mean that megapulse has a much lower rof then megabeam? If so:
Mega Beam: 9sec Mega Pulse: 7.88sec
425m Rail: 9.56sec Neutron Blaster: 7.88sec
As you can see, the difference between the the rail and neutron ROF is 0.56sec greater then the difference between the mega beam to mega pulse.
Neutron also has the same ROF as megapulse... ________________________________________________________

so dual 250mm got higher dmg mod then 425mm? since a dual 250mm is a short range weapon right?
the shorter the range the lower dmg mod and higher rof, thats the way it should be?
Maybe you should compare dual 250's to dual heavy beams?
I dunno, just an idea.

Originally by: MoLeH /me points out that currently the megabeam is a slower fireing same dmg and slightly longer range useless weapon atm.
24km or what ever the optimal range of a megapulse is perfect warp to gate at 15km and blast the campers so the megabeam or tach with there 30km range mean you can warp in at 20 or 30km and do less dmg and gain no advantage.... plz explain why the megabeam should haev the same dmg mod as teh megpulse.
Uhh, you might want to warp in at 40-60 with tachs megabeams. That is a good effective range for them, not 20km like megapulse. ________________________________________________________
