I've flown with both, I've fought against both.
Only thing I can say with certainty is that both corps fight a completely different style of pvp.
Celestial are cautious and patient for the most part, they don't engage dumb odds. The guys I flew with were 100% honourable and just wanted to play the game for the sake of it.
I think they lack a supreme tactician (i.e. an engineer as it were) but have competent fleet leaders (but only if you can understand them ;).
They have one of the best solo BS pilots in the game in Fed but the new boys they have hired just don't seem to cut the mustard. Seems like a bit of quantity over quality recently.
m0o fight aggressively. While hunting with m0o, there isn't a feeling of invincibility like it in the game. They will plough into a system and chase everything around non-stop. This is where their talents lie. They have some of the best tacticians in the game and one of the best fleet leaders I have fought under in the game (second only to Shrike). The new guys they have brought in are all seasoned pvp'ers and the real deal.
So, celest vs m0o would be very close. I think it would come down to luck and whichever dog had their day but only if Celest had 10 of their old-skool pilots in there.
Otherwise it would be like putting puppies in a cage of wolves.
