What happens when you try to fit them?
Information about a problem is good, just stating that you can't walk across the street doesn't do anyone a bit of good when trying to help you.

This should be fixed on the new build.

Edited by: Cassandra41 on 10/07/2009 23:20:09 could it be because existing rigs are now classed as 'large' and you are trying to rig a ship that can only accept 'small' or 'medium' rigs? As I understand it, you could 'grandfather' around that if you already had the rigs in, but if you removed them you would be subject to the new rules.
(information on what ship and what rig(s) you were trying to place would be helpful)

I tried to fit a large rig in my ares and it said my rig is size 3 and my ship can only take size 1. In case you think this is as intended, think again
my understanding was that frigates could fit any size rigs, cruisers medium and up and battleships only large. Maybe I misunderstood, but even in that case, why hasn't the above system been implemented instead of the each ship size to each owns rigs?
the whole point is give cheap or easy-dying ships a chance to fit cheap rigs. If fitting a rig in your frigate means you can only get it from a few people, aren't these rigs going to be extremely expensive, especially at first? So, we have to wait until prices drop or build them our own... and in the case I want to fit a large but very cheap rig, I still have to get the small pretty expensive variation...
I hope it's just a bug

Just not a Bug, small rigs only can be fitted in frigs/destroyers and T2 variants, Medium in cruisers, BC, indis/ores and T2/T3 variants and Large in BS/caps and T2 variants. But the small rigs are not going to be "expensive" than large ones, no one are going to buy a small rig for 20M when his real cost is 600K or less =$.
The real question it's about what are you going to do with your actuall rigs if you want to put them in small or medium size ships. In my opinion the unique way is, sell them
