The Initiative. [INIT.] announces global standings reset, extraction from Vale & the Northern Coalition.
Confirming speculation that we [INIT.] have decided to leave Vale & the Northern Coalition to pursue new adventures. We've had some interesting times in the North, fighting both for and against the NC (as part of previous factions) over recent years. It has been fun, but the time has come to move on and try something different or face stagnation.
We are donating our old space and resources primarily to Wildly Inappropriate [WI] and will maintain sov in a few areas to make that transition as smooth as possible (POS wardrobe malfunctions aside).
Our partner alliance (Initiative Associates [IA]) is being ramped down and our business partners in that space will be making their own arrangements.
So we bid farewell to old friends (and enemies) and look forwards to mashing it up elsewhere.
All current standings will be reset on Sunday 12th July at DT.

Confirmin' dis. However, true drama unfolds as follows:
So, yesterday, early, Bliss walks in on a jabber convo between myself, Heath, Joshua, Imperian, and Lou (Cypher, not Dobbs), and he THOUGHT we were going to be planning the supreme takeover of high sec by the NC.
What really occurred, was horrifying to Bliss. Ever heard of the joke "The Aristocrats"? This meeting put that joke to shame.
And being the upright citizen of EVE and outstanding hero of the NC, Bliss simply crumpled to the ground and cried. And proceeded to announce he would not be a part of such debauchery.
So, to that end, I say: We will miss you, Bliss, Codin, and the rest of the Init guys. It was a true honor flying with you and your Titan hunting fleets are the best in EVE, not just blowin' sunshine. ♥ Take care guys, from WI.

Really, my complaint has been about time management, and I never applied to tri. As for Shut Up and Play, it was very successful, but I didn't have the time to run it anymore, and neither did heyu and crud, so we're on a break; which, considering the subject matter is tri, means I get another 3-4 tries to get it right. Sidebar: Goodfellas only has 2 more. How's Diehard and Sacul doing anyways? They have much love from my end, even if they're in goodfellas again

In Pure's defence, it was hard to mount a defence when half the corps had decided to be AWOL from the battlefield while they formed their own alliance. Shame but that's how the cookie crumbles.
I guess it's good luck to INIT. Kinda makes sense to leave the region when MM took all the cadmium moons off you in the region you thought you 'owned'. With friends like that, who needs enemies eh?

3 corps out of 20 was still fighting. In other words, Pure was already dead and the stand was only formal. You managed to get the upperhand only after a jammer mistake, otherwise you would still be at the same point today. Given the numbers you had and Pure had in the system (you had 5 times our numbers), your success is quite an epic luck.

wonding how all people can think, that INIT = PURE. INIT is not Pure, we have a completly other target, a very different structure, organisation, wallet and lot more...
we only have 2-3 old FC's from the times in PURE... that's it! :)
but as long as this game is not minimum aged on 18 we'll have CAOD-Trolls telling all the pilots outside, how much they don't know ^^.

Goodluck init was fun killing stuff with you in the drone regions.
I wonder who our new neighbours will be, doubt it would be WI they are quite stretched out as it is.
Maybe some neuts reds can come and I can fight a war again.
Yes I am probably one of the few who likes POS warfare, although shooting posses is boring its the only way to get actually huge battles, because people actually have to show up to defend something.
Dont like roaming much or gatecamps but i love huge battleship fights :).
GL init hey we may fight you in the future :) lets have good clean fights if it comes to that.

Ok, Vale may not be great space but it has to be better then Immensea. Add in that half the time people where in Venal (which is good space), not Vale. Especially with all the r64s taken by Atlas or AAA.
Whats really funny is now Init is going to have to maintain a JB network in order to defend Immensea. Before I left, Init did not want to have a JB network. I believe they had 2 or 3 jumps set up to get into cyno-jammed systems.
If I hadn't left Init before, I would have now.

Wrong again. We had an extensive JB network, if you'd spent more time in Vale rather than carebearing in Venal you might have known about it. It was Vale we never wanted, not JB's.

Um, you were in our alliance?
When did you leave cos when i became active again 5+ months ago and joined, Init had a pretty decent JB network. Also yes we are leaving a decent (not great) region. But its becoming too Safe and boring and at the end of the day the last thing you want is an alliance full of bored PvPers.
Hence the reason we've been attacking people like IRC etc for the sheer hell ofit.

hmmm, it does make sense
vale is better than immensea, and Initiaive are all ex-Pure and core members of the NC, you don't just abandon all your friends for no reason (and certainly not worse space than you left)
thats the risk bobby atlas took when he invited an alliance who are not aligned to the AAA powerblock, and have no history with him, to take a region - it was a little 'russian roulette' to say the least

It wasnt Tadril it was Marius Bold Papa Pod is his alt who basically flew the Titan while i was having my second kid (Not actually giving birth but you get the idea)then he refused to give it back (IE Stole it) and joined PL. :P Just shows you cant even trust RL friends in this game LOLZ

Confirming that i, (egged on by some very aggressive Russians) took part in a hotdrop on one of my old best-buds in INIT the other day.
I was talking to him on msn at the time - and didn't realize it was infact his carrier we were planning on mobbing. (honest to god)
