Hey guys my training is almost done for both the curse and the pilgrim. I was thinking about how to fit them and which one is better. I heard many reviews from battleclinic saying that the curse is for passive shield tanking and not cloaking. I rly wanted to cloak and armor tank it. So if you guys have any suggestions to which ship is better i would rly appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.

Never used one but kinda get kited a lot by it the issue when at max disruptor range and getting disrupted is hitting it at all and maybe destroying the drones travelling over 60km's from a sling bubble lol.

You don't cloak a curse. You armor tank / cloak a pilgrim. Not a Curse.

my curse uses range for a primary tank. light armor tank for just in case. a cloak could be useful for 0.0 operations. and I really just don't like the shield tanking idea, as well I need moar midslots! yea my ehp sucks, but I'm not sticking around for a slugfest.
pilgrim can be nice, it just has to get up close, and I really think 1 more midslot would be nice for web, scram, propulsion mod, 2 tds, and cap injector. but you have to drop 1. it will work against certain targets, but that 2nd td would be nice laser pilgrim is a nice fun surprise.

depends what you want to do.
Pilgrim is cloaky, set up for armor tanking, and doesn't have a range bonus for nuets/nos
curse is set up for shield tanking, has range bonuses, has a useful place in a HAC gang, and has one of the best paint jobs around.
buy both, and see which one you like better.

you WANT to use a curse
you only fly the pilgrim in situations you HAVE to use the cloaked warpy thingy.
curse > pilgrim. __________________________________________________

The Pilgrim is meant to uncloak when the battle has already begun and your target has assessed the situation and has made a mental "primary" list. That's when you uncloak and obliterate his cap and he'll wonder wtf is going on.
Curse is more for roaming and is excellent for staying out of range of anything dangerous while still applying TD/Neuts, albeit at a lower ratio than the Pilgrim. ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting? EVE is a game of adaptation and planning. Adapt or die. |

This reminds me of a quote I read quite a while ago:

No it's called a covert ops cloak and only a few ships can fit it. The force recon class of ships (pilgrim) are some of said ships. They all have a combat recon equivalent (curse) which does a similar job, but is designed to not be cloaky.

The curse is indeed a speed ship, good with a shield buffer to soak-up whatever dmg hits it as speed.
The pilgrim is a front line fighting ship. Mine has 13k armour buffer WITH a MAR, great resists, tackle and EW, in a 1v1 scenario, any non speed ships active tanked will fail vrs a pilgrim (below bs size ofc) -
