Edited by: Ingolf Knudsen on 13/07/2009 15:44:11 Hello,
I have an Absolution and have been flying missions with it, I wonder wich of these fittings would be better for level 4 missions?
Absolution 1 (high resistances, speed)
or
Absolution 2 (higher effective HP, more firepower but slower)
or
Is there something I should change to make my fittings even better?
And Is it possible to do level 4 missions with Absolution?

You can do level IVs with an Absolution, just don't expect it to be the most efficient affair although it is fun.
Setup 1 shows the most promise, though there are a few things to change. For one you only need to tank mission damage which is normally only two damage types (unless it's angel or something like that). So doubling up on two racial hardeners is better. If you are easily tanking missions with that begin to lessen the tank and add more gank via additional heat sinks.
For some reason you are using Gamma crystals as well, switch to Amarr Navy Multifrequency for max dps at close range without hurting your capacitor. Also pack some Scorch for those more ranged NPCs.
Setup 2 is more ganky which is good, but again your boosting all resists as opposed to the necessary ones. Use a mission guide for NPC damage types and tank only them.
Finally another point with missions is you need to tank dps over a longer period of time, as opposed to a lot in a short time like in certain PvP circumstances so drop the plate. A buffer tank is wasted. If I used my Absolution for missions I would likely swap it for another repairer and hope I kill off the targets before my cap starts failing. Hope that helps.

Your resists look more than a little crazy and using buffer for missions is definitely not the way to go.
You only need the resists that fit the rats for that mission, and when they spread a bit more then just the top 2. For maximum security your lows might look like: 2xPrimary Damage hardener 2xSecondary Damage Hardener 1xMAR II 2xHeat Sink II
The HP IIs are nice, though I'd want to use either Scorch and AN Multifrequency.
I'd agree with the mids.
Personally I'd want 3x Head Sinks and drop one of the secondary hardeners, possibly pimp the MAR and fit an Aux Nano Pump + CCC as the rigs.
