We are deploying a potential fix for this issue in the next DT. The change addresses a possible race condition that could occur under heavy load. Erlendur S. Thorsteinsson | Software Director | EVE Online, CCP Games | Follow on: Twitter / Google+ |

"potential" fix.. like the last one.. at least this time you admit that it might not work The last one worked perfectly, but there were two issues and we tackled the load issue first. Erlendur S. The fix deployed today didn't have the desired effect. We take this issue seriously and are actively working on it with senior people. Initial inspection indicates that the issue is resolved, but you may possibly have to relog for the client's cache to refresh. Erlendur S. Further inspection indicates that we have found and eliminated the main culprit. The breakage rate was a thousand channels a minute but is now down to 2 or 3 in a half hour. We are continuing the investigation. Erlendur S. Thorsteinsson | Software Director | EVE Online, CCP Games | Follow on: Twitter / Google+ |

That's nice m8, but honestly who/what even played with this bit of the client to cause this to happen? We were refactoring the chat service, preempting DUST 514 players joining us on TQ later this year. The issues we encountered were race conditions with the large number of players we have on TQ, which we did not observe during testing. Erlendur S. I'm hoping you accidentally also fix the problem with the station guest list where guests are randomly shown as neutral, until you refresh the list. This is currently happening whenever you login to the local channel as well.
This is still present to my knowledge and one we are looking into now. CCP Goliath | QA Director | @CCP_Goliath |
