for weeks several CSM people haven't been able to keep their mouths shut now....
dead silence The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

Yes I unsubbed. It's actually creepy that you think to bring it up. Anything else about me you want to post ? Or do you want a date. You sure seen fascinated. OR, you could write a mail to CCP and ask why when one unsubscribes they force one to wait till it times out before disconnecting. If it concerns you so much that one can unsubscribe and still type in the Forums, why don't you complain. Go ahead. get right on it. Ranger 1 wrote:As has been already pointed out.
The "issues" most people are waxing emotional about are due to not understanding they can simply drag to the tree to move items, or shift click to open separate windows to monitor contents. They believe the tree only exists to open one window at a time in the main view, which is misunderstanding the main functionality of the tree.
Ah...
1) I have 2 accounts. Each have a different color UI so I can easily identify which I am on at any given time. With the new inventory... I can't see any of the text on one of the accounts. I have to sit down and fiddle with my UI colors to see if I can get the ability to read back. Not necessarily a big deal but I don't want to lose my pink UI Much more fun ganking the gankers decked out in pink.
2) I can only open my cargo on my carrier. Then I can open my other ship "containers" like Fuel Bay, Ship and Corp hangers.
3) I have about 200 ships in station. Know of other people who have over 300. The damn tree is a mile long. Also all of the ships have the same icon and even more important they are not listed in any, currently known or understood, order. Major PTA.
4) Can't access drone bays from the tree so your opening a ship and then opening a window. Old format was faster.
5) Shift click to get the same effect as double click.
6) loading delay when opening the inventory, this includes when looting a wreak since it still access the inventory system. Slower response time is not an improvement. (unless your talking about an orgasm I suppose.)
7) If I try and loot from a container I just hacked in a radar site and I have not accessed it yet I get a pop up of my cargo instead of an error. Had an exciting moment there in a radar site today. The container ended up being empty so that was a roller coaster ride.
8) NO BACK BUTTON after opening a new container so you have to manually find and go back if needed.
Not sure how many more are there but these I have off the top of my head. Sure, some of the issues will resolve as people find workarounds to go back to the old way or learn the new system better. The fact that windows don't stay open is a bug is a contributing factor here. Even so the new UI is clunky and a bit dysfunctional even after you get through the learning phase. Here is to having a fast and speedy iteration of the new shiny UI |

Well...
Lets see.
1) you can no longer access an orca to drop ore into that is not in fleet and not in corp. 2) windows constantly reset 3) windows constantly close 4) windows cant even remember last window opened when reopening 5) I still have to have as many windows open as before, its just now getting to them is more work and managing them is even more than before... 6) Accessing an Orca has become difficult. I imaging its the same for all ships with hangars 7) POS modules. period. 8) ships no longer show the active ship in station 9) double clicking a ship now activates it instead of opening its cargo... 10) while its pretty, the estimate value of cargo is way off. 11) random **** that is not needed. like being able to see stuff like deliveries and corporate member hangars in the list. makes the list even longer than it needs to be.
I dont have a problem with the change, but how the change was done. The change in its current state is NOT an improvement by ANY means. fix at least some of these problems and I can get back to not being pissed. |

I would say most of the Complaints are done by botters who can't make their TinyMiner or whatever work for them while they run their dayjob.
Flat out, I like the new Hangar System. As It is, it has many good points. I got a few freighting containers, changed the names on them, and dropped them in envelope one, and voila! Me and my girlfriend have our things safe and easily accessible.
I can see this working as a boon for many Corps that don't want to be in alliances, but do want to be departmentalized.
Division 1: CEO and their significant other Division 2: The Rest of the Department heads Divisions 3 - 7 : Mining and Refining, R&D, Salvage and Trade Goods, Military Departments.
Ultimately Speaking? Shift + Click = window popout. There you have your personalized windows. And, if you want to remake the old hangar? Just Shift + Click, group the windows, and badabing, badaboom.
PS: It's always nice to be able to see if the new recruit is trying to filch something from you and your corp.

The fact I have to shift click open my ship and inventory windows every single time I jump clone, and shift click every time I want to move items around in space, is reason enough to consider it a severely flawed implementation.

Necromancy is bad.
After some tweaking the only thing I can say that CCP has done incorrectly was to assume a certain basic level of computer savvy in their customer base. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

I like it tbh, it has it's problems but I like it nonetheless, I think it's going to be a slow but steady stream of improvements until it works as well as both the players and devs envisaged, or at least a happy medium. Although it's hardly a unified inventory until they manage to get the assets window integrated with it (please no clunky stuff if you do this CCP, just make it work, elegantly if you can). War hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, High Chief of all the Vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside. |
