Hi,
in good old days i flew Amarr. In team lvl4 missions I supported my mate (Abaddon, Damage dealer, Tank) in my Pulse-Zealot. My job was to take out the smaller ships fast. Was great fun ^^
Nowadays I fly Caldari. It's also fun. But to fill the role above, what would you choose? Cerberus or Eagle? My skills are more or less equal - missiles or rails. Also: if I would choose the Cerberus, why not a Nighthawk which I've skilled too?
Thanks for any inspiration :)

The eagle is terrible. Go nighthawk.
A better question is why are you doing this when each of you could easily solo?

Edited by: De Guantanamo on 17/07/2009 18:46:55 For DPS support in missions cerb will do just fine and will be able to tank some damage. Nighthawk will put out more damage and be able to take down little stuff due to CS bonus and a 25m3 drone bay. Its really up to you.
Honestly if you can T2 fit the NH you should just do lvl 4s solo...but if you have to do support DPS though I would field the cerb due to nice range, DPS, better agility and speed.

@could easily solo: ofc I could do lvl4s solo in my NH. Indeed I do it. My reason for team missions is just fun. And a HAC+BS team is a superb combination imho. Unfortunately there's no Caldari equivalent to a Pulse-Zealot with it's huge damage and quite nice range :( I guess a blaster Eagle is no good idea. Maybe a HAM Cerb? Hrm...
The idea is to breeze through lvl4 missions and have a nice time ^^

Mission aren't any fun no matter how you do them imo, but to each his own I guess.

It's a good choice. Decent DPS (430-550 depending on missiles used, considering maxed skills, no implants and 3 BCUs) with good range (40-45km, same circumstances).
May I suggest something more efficient, though? A gank fit (with HMLs) Nighthawk will do over 600 DPS at 70km+. That is far better support for your friend (HMs are great for popping small ships), and you wouldn't even have to switch ships. Or even better, go with your standard NH fit, and tank the missions. You'll still do decent DPS, but your BS friend will be able to go full gank, which you'll soon notice is better than having him do both the tanking and the main DPS.
EDIT: Just noticed you actually mentioned the NH for that purpose. So yes, do it!

Nighthawk to kill small stuff that happens to get close. Altho if you have good missile skills then cruise missile CNR with painter and 3x rigors can do it also in slightly more "universal" form - ie a bit more damage to battleships also, altho advantage is not that stellar to train extra for it if you dont have already good skills for it when compared to Nighthawk with Fury heavies, considering the beforementioned Amarr BS already present.

You could just use a T2 fitted Drake. Fit with HAMs or HMLs, a TP, decent shield tank, and a load of Regular and Fury/Terror missiles (regular for frigs/Destoyers, Fury's for cruisers to BS's). Load some T2 HobGoblin's and your golden. Good tank and decent gank, all for less than a third of the cost of a sinilarly fitted NightHawk.
