I'm wondering which of these bonuses is more desirable. I'm doing exploration, not so much using combat probes (although I'd assume both types of probes behave the same way).
My question is basically this: suppose I can have only one or the other bonus, and I want to pick which one would improve my scan times the most.
So which one gives a better overall "bonus" -- +x% scan strength, or -x% scan deviation?

they are apples and oranges. You want both. One is a great source of vitamin c, the other makes good pies. --

i have yet to see an orange pie. please show me wrong good sir.
@ OP, you want better strength. with better strength comes less deviation.

How could an apple make a pie? It doesn't even have arms.

If you have never seen an orange pie, why would you assume that was my meaning? I made no ordered list. --

Scan strength allows you to pick target within less attempts. Scan deviation make your detection more precise. More accurate detection will let you use less attempts.
I'ld ask you what are you looking for. You need scan strength for scanning for ships. You need scan deviation for scanning static objects.

They are both desirable. I'd say scan strength is more important. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |
