This could all be the work of speculators, Trit has dropped an ISK in a few days. Considering 40% or so of all lowends comes from mission runners it's odd to say that CCP banned macroers followed by a drop in Trit price.

Forget trit, look at the mission drop t1 modules, allmost every single one of them had it's volume halved in about 1 day since the 22 of june and have NOT recovered since.
Only viable explanation is a lot of accounts went inactive.

Just check the trade volume of tags dropped in missions to get a very clear idea that something happened around june 22nd. No market manipulation can account for this.

Of course big, serious alliances *clearly* farm high sec. *Clearly* buy lots of missiles (hint: missile boats tend to not even be allowed to be used in PvP). *Clearly* farm the many 0.0 missions and *clearly* put all of the LP in LOLPvP Navy Ravens and implants.
I assume that english is not your first language as you seem to not understand the word "possible". May I suggest www.dictionary.com as a reference for you.
As a risk free* place to put up a bunch of bots to run missions I cant think of a better place than highsec. Given that those bots/afk alts needed ammo to grind ISK/LP (remember all the posts about how L4's are the most profitable thing to do except perhaps rat) it makes sense that missle sales have gone down.
The run-up in prices on LP items can easily be attributed to speculation on the part of lots of traders once "news" hit the forums of mission farmer bans and the ensuing "ZOMG LP PRICES ARE GOING TO SKYROCKET!!!!11oneone" hype.
This, however, is purely speculation about what is possible. If CCP doesnt make an official post then we may not ever know what really happened.Ultimately it does not matter what happened. The only thing that matters is what happens now that it appears farmers are gone (for how long...who knows)

I never saw any news. As I remember it, folks in the SCC-Lounge started talking about market activity (or lack of it) they were seeing in all kinds of different markets and they drew their own conclusions. The forum postings were way behind the times.

That's because of the mission botters are gone, b4 they did not really care how much they had to pay, the ammo cost is hardly anything compared to their income.

Isotope prices remain around 500 for 3 of the 4 types of isotopes. It will be interesting to see if the prices spike this weekend.
Right now, i figure that most people are using POS fuel reserves waiting for the price to fall.

Trit is readily available in highsec from belts rocks, mega, mex, zydr and nocx aren't. If you cut 50-60% of the mission loot out of the economy you're going to face a mega/mex shortage a lot sooner than a trit shortage
I fully expect trit to live at it's new floor price until the gold farmers recover in 6-8 months.

How long will the wait on reaction prices rising be then? As in, what sort of lag exists between fuel prices and reactions?

Sorry, no. You have to go into wormholes and get farmed by the new AI NPCs like everyone else...

I've only been trading ice for about 7 months now and typical what you see is a 2-3 month price cycle. So my guess is many tower chains stockpile fuel for at least 60 days except in locations where you know the tower is 100% at risk and you're just anchoring to hold temp or something.
Anyone who hauls a tower into wormhole space (aside from being a masochist) also likely brings along at least 30 days of fuel when possible. |

Part of what may be going on is that the ban falls very quickly on isk sellers when they spam in local, you notice how they don't spam Jita as much. I don't see them much anywhere else either. They may be having trouble on both ends, both having isk earning characters banned, and also having their sellers locked out.

I figure 90 days to fully react. Prices seem to be going up about 5 isk per day.

don't forget that at 22jun there was a massive injection of capital ships.
for example: there was an injection of 10-20 freighters in the citadel/the forge market. carmo

Because everything in eve is more or less either ISK or Minerals, a bunch of capital on the market is just a big giant pot of minerals on the market in a different form.
20% of the cost in one is trit 20$ of the cost is one is mex |

Stay tuned for next week as CCP will be reporting on "Operation Unholy Rage".
From the latest dev blog:
Quote: In short, everybody wins. Everybody, except the account hacking, credit card stealing and macroing ISK sellers, that is. PLEX is a part of a two pronged attack in order to curb RMT in EVE. The second part involves actions such as account banning, item confiscation and ISK reversals. More on that next week when we will report to you on operation "Unholy rage".
- GM Grimmi
Now if I were a gambling man (and I am ), I'd be willing to bet a good chunk of my NAV on "it will go into the alleged banning of ze macros" :)
