Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen,
We at ISD are pleased to announce that the Interstellar Correspondent program has been incorporated into ISD.
Due to this change of management, we are very pleased to announce that we are re-opening its doors. With a spiffy new news page with Empire-specific and Alliance-specific columns, we can now bring you local news without hindering the major news items.
In order for us to pull this off, we need dedicated, capable writers that are willing to report on events, both player and npc. These are the criteria you need to conform to in order for us to take you in:
- 18 years or older
- Be creative and a team player
- A good grasp of eveÆs Prime Fiction
- A good grasp of where the different factions, player and NPC, stand
If you are interested in being a part of the eve news team, please fill in the ISD Application Form, and select Aurora. Then, e-mail us at [email protected] and I will review your application as soon as possible. If you already have an application in, just e-mail me.
Thanks for your interest, feel free to ask me questions.

The IC program has been adding news on the EVE INsider site for some time now, the difference is that they are reorganising and becoming a part of ISD, the EVE volunteer program.
I don't really see how Eve Guardian and IC would be competitors, in my opinion there is definately room for everyone.

While Eve Guardian is a source of information concerning prime fiction you may have noticed it is covering many more aspects of Eve now and has been for a long time.
Anything that suggests there will be more prime fiction (and more relevant prime fiction) to report is good news.
Eve Guardian will continue to cover this and will also cover any player led events that it hears about (you have to tell us about these). While all the time adding other subject material, such as the economics series currently (and continuing) to run.
Yep there is plenty of room for us both and I am looking forward to this new initiative starting.
Apologies if this appears to be hijacking a thread but thought i would put our response down now, to stop any other concerned players dropping by this thread.

Just as an on-topic answer to Joshua, the 'new' IC programme will be populated by alts - so I guess it wouldn't really matter who the original player is. The 'old' IC programme wasn't. It's a shame there's no room (AFAIK) for a mixture of the two, as there are very good reasons for having both.

This is not entirely true.
Although people will not be able to post news under their own player character name, who is behind the character does matter in terms of writing skills, general knowledge of the game and of course personality.

Will the interstellar correspondent recieve any reward for his time spent doing this? Anything other than seeing his words published on official eve forums under his alt avatar name?
Will the interstellar correspondent be provided with any tools to aid him in any shape of form?
