Who are we?
Almost a year ago from different corporations in eve we gathered as a group to practice the
dark arts of griefing, locking down player ratting/mining systems, and all sorts of methods of shadows warfare. This was our style of play. Waiting in the shadows, hours sometimes days on end for that perfect opportunity to strike. Our targets wouldn't notice us, think of us as mere afkers, yet after awhile they would notice a scream in their local..
We had/have no real home we consider
We pick an area, and practice our arts of camping, denying
people the ability to farm riches in their area. Some hate us and some pay us...
What do we do?
In general we set off into enemy territory which can and usually does include 0.0. There will be no base there for us to doc at, no safe haven, just your ship, your wits and you. We will generally teach younger pilots the methods of suriving out in these areas before letting them go in deep. Within the area we practice ganking miners, destroying people with too much isk in their wallet, and creating much havoc. Kills to us are a great experience, and are considered more a delicacy as opposed to quantity fast food. As an individual in the academy you will hide in the shadows, and gank those who are ignorant.
What type of play is this?
If you haven't guessed the type of play we do in eve involves pulling nice tricks, and other sorts of destruction on players. It's more a metal gear solid, swat team, rainbow 6 style play then it is getting together a big fleet and going on a rampage. In general the types of people that can play with us have a good attention span, a good bit of patience, somewhat more social then a trunk falling from the sky, and have moved beyond the omg l33t stage of playing games IE you're in it for fun! Pirating is a great way to make money in this corp, but scamming is not and will not be tolerated ever. We will teach people methods to make money: mining, trade, killing, there's such an abundance of it in eve. If you like these kinds of play then this is the corp for you.
What are the requirements?
To become a student, or advanced student in the academy of shadows one simply needs desire,patience and an open mind. The desire to play and enjoy the style of combat we prefer.
The patience to wait in system, to play another game, to realize you must wait and bait
your opponent. An open mind must be had in order to deploy different tactics.
Other mechanic requirements:
*Must be pass the trial period
*Must have an ok corp history ( no thiefs etc )
*Must be able to work on vent/TS
*Must provide API ( limited )
*Must be able to make your own cash ( we will show you ).
*Must be willing to attend corp ops and participate wich can last 1-2 weeks, not daily but somewhat regularly.
*Interest and desire outweigh a huge character pvp.
*We will not provide you with fun ships, a lovely place to rat, you will earn it on your own, however we will show you the path to such things. A lazy mind leads to easy isk for the yar'er

It's been great working with these guys. Frequent combat and they really helped me figure out how to make isk and keep my ship in one piece while working as a team to get kills.
Great time, lots of 0.0 lowsec and empire. Really runs the gambit of the game.

Took people out yesterday to do some low-sec training/ratting. Was very fun for folks. Showing them the scanner, use of safes, fun on vent. Great people. Would like more EU folks, as well USA folks.

Had a guy who flew arazu interested in joining our organization. No problem showing him how to work it, etc. Always willing to teach. Building up people, small corp but patience like we have out in 0.0 pays off.

This looks like it could be interesting. I'm in the US TZ and have been away from EvE for awhile, just got back in a couple of weeks ago. I'll try to remember to convo when I get home later, or if you see me pop on, give me a jingle (I have a terrible memory in the transition from work to home.. it's like the day didn't even happen).
