Morvyn Destry's Lounge Important Internet Spaceship League	Posted - 2009.07.27 06:53:00 - [1] Edited by: Morvyn on 27/07/2009 06:56:34 Backstory: There was a tower in Grispire (Placid) with 6 labs on it and nothing else, belonging to United Star Federation... So we reinforced it. Came out of reinforced at about 10:30 EST. United Star Federation got together five guys in worthless ships - Claw, Viator, and so on - and called in 30 of their friends to help them "defend it". We skirmish a bit in battlecruisers and crap, they warp 5 carriers to the tower to rep it, just as it exits reinforced. They also decided that our 10 or 15-man battlecruiser was too much to take with a 30-man BS fleet, so they brought in 30 more buddies. Just before we killed all of them, local count hit something around 60 hostiles. They had their entire support fleet on the Pelille gate, so we formed up our 25-man fleet, warped to the gate, and jumped. Decloaked, popped our cyno, dropped a SINGLE carrier on them, and started calling primaries. TL;DR - We just accidentally their whole fleet. Killed 34 people, almost entirely in battleships (and including a Kronos! who warped to the gate mid-fight with no plates and T1 blasters fit...). Losses? A single Hyperion, which only died because the broadcast for armor didn't get picked up. Also, they re-stronted their tower, and we re-reinforced it, comes out in ... exactly 24 hours (fail stront timer is fail). So we're fully expecting more pew tomorrow. :)

But you know, large armor reps simply don't rep enough, a hull rep in the mids is definitely a good idea. It was the second kill from the top on that battle summary... Just admit it man, you lost utterly, you let your "allies" die horribly, you never fly anything but comedy fits, and you're butthurt. And we're not mad it's the most fun we've had in awhile. AD fielded more pilots than we did? Look at our killboard, they brought 5 BS 1 Carrier, we fielded 10 BS and five or so support. You're right about one thing though, if you had warped the carriers to the gate it would have been a different fight - we would have gotten some carrier killmails, and it would have been even more hillarious. Your carriers, while they were repping the POS, kept capping out - you have terrible capital pilots, with terrible skills, apparently. As a side note, claiming "I didn't die because I was a pansy and warped off while my allies died" isn't helping your case.

INSTANTLY ALL of their capitals cyno'ed out, and their pilots started warping. We snagged Vyper, ganked the hell out of his Raven, then started probing down his friends (because safespots are safe, amirite?). We got them, snagged a few more battleship - even dropped a few capitals on those remaining few, since our carrier pilots were blueballed from having the capitals they wanted to kill run away. :( Engagement summary: http://bdeal.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=3540782 The fight Vyper's referencing where I apparently "Hauled A$$" in my Rokh, (because ASS is a bad word and $'s make it better, amirite?) was when we engaged them in Intaki at around 2:1 odds in their favor. Honestly, we would have done better had we managed to point their logistics ship before it warped out and back in at 70km, but meh. The order was given to deagress or otherwise GTFO, so we did. My opinion is that USF et al did ok all things considered. They had the gumption to fight and at least won one round. We have brutalized DestryÆs before (after being feed torrents of smack by your pilots about how TOW sucks at pvp and we are cowards) and on vent someone asked û "do you think they will ever fight us again?" You did, and do, and we have learnt to respect you, despite the smack, because you don't give up. Us pirate types are always castigating carebears for not X'ing up and standing their ground. You got a great fight out of USF et al appreciate it! The Thanatos belonged to Invicta, and it was the only capital they had online - neither of us had any more in reserve. I do appreciate that we got a fight for once (even though it was with USF's "allies," not USF themselves). I just like making fun of Zendoren and Vyper since they always try to act like they are really good at this game -- for example, the only reason this little feud started with them is because we got ahold of one of their alliance mails stating their intent to rally some friends and siege one of our towers. I will admit also, we aren't exactly "uber leet pvp" - our KB efficiency is like 60% or something. We have a lot of respect for ToW, and I'm actually going to apologize on behalf of BDEAL for any smack directed at you; I respect you guys - I do not repsect United Star Federation. Also, in my own defense, the last page and a half of this thread only exists because freighter runs are really boring.
