Well, at least now I know, should I ever get a tattoo, I'll first have the artist draw a pair of concentric circles. If he can't draw them straight, I'll look for someone else. -------- Ideas for: Mining

@OP Nice job! glad to see you're still around and long may the inkwork continue, just ignore the hate in this thread!
I have a tattoo of my own. This tattoo is objectively terribly done.
1. The outer circle is not round. 2. The dot in the middle should be in the middle of the image and the half-circle, it's nowhere close. 3. The semicircle around the center dot is wobbly as hell. 4. The two lines connecting the inner semicircle to the outer 4/5th circle should be equally long, they are not. 5. The shading throughout the tattoo is terrible.
Though I don't like the concept, I won't bash you for it. I will say this however; Find another artist, one that doesn't suck horribly and can at least draw a round circle.
Now you've said, I can't stop seeing it. Phew, good thing it's not my arm, I'd be thinking about all the wobbly lines every single last time I look at it.
Ya know... when I look at it. Either from above, or in a mirror maybe. Or perhaps a picture of it I put on the internet for everybody to laugh at, I'd be thinking... "ohmigawd, now I see why that other guy was charging $20".

If a tattoo's done properly the artist should have it drawn up and stencilled on beforehand.
Bear in mind though, its still scabbed, all have mine have been wobbly as hell until the scabs come off.
As for those "Never get laid" , and "When your 70 people" - I know plenty of retired people with ink of all sorts, from bands, to cartoons, and even a couple of pac men. Not a single one regrets it, most are strongly attached (hah) to the work.
The fact is, some people will never understand why people get ink done, and they'll discriminate, Call names and harass those of us who do.
But you'll never find a tattoo'd person who discriminate for somebody not having one.
Don't like it, Thats fine, But leave the preachy crap at the door.
*Off soapbox*
- Oh and as far as getting laid, 2 years since my first ink and no slowdown here. And my first ink was a 4 inch quake symbol . If anything my favorite ink - a manufacture-like label on the top of my left foot: "Made in Enfield 1988" With the copyright symbol and my last name below my DOB, Has gotten me the close on a few numbers, So take it as you will.

I appreciate the comments - I'm aware that there are flaws, part of that is the angle of the picture, the shape of my arm and the fact that it hasn't healed yet. However I am pleased with it which is all that counts at the end of the day. The shading looks far better in the flesh, so to speak, and is closer to what I asked for than when the first two were done; the intention being that it looked like a shaped piece of gold. You may think the shading's terrible, I don't. As I say it looks far better in the flesh. But thanks for your comments!

It sounds pretty easy to me. Since they consider unmutilated people to be needy and cowardly, I am positive I can find some discrimination if I gave enough of a crap to look. Then of course there is the small matter of which comments are going missing from this thread. /proof of discrimination.

Please do not judge a large group of people based on one person. There are plenty of jackasses with tattoos, and plenty of jackasses without tattoos. I'd say the Jackass% is about equal.
Also, kindly stop referring to people with tattoos as "mutilated". It's not mutilation unless it's somehow done against your consent, and shows that you are in fact a rather massive bigot.
I have tattoos, and I don't really give a **** if you have them or not.

And at which point did I mention that I have tats myself? I don't have any, would love to have some done but i'm too much of a wuss. so please stop quoting me and implying that i'm discriminating, you're doing far more, op has only been courteous and cheerful, what have you done?

Tattoos do not injure people, and considering tattoos to be disfigurement is a matter of opinion that is not shared by the vast, vast majority of people. Certainly, people with tattoos do not consider them disfigurement.
Honestly, you're just backing up my argument here.

a tattoo is definitely a form of mutilation. sometimes very artful and stylish mutilation, but call a pot a pot. it cant be helped if the word has a negative connotation.
this is about where i would even expect myself to copy/paste a web dictionary reference, and take it as the holy infallible word of god. maybe even bold the part that suits my part of the arguement. instead, ill just say that it is mutilation, and you know it is. if you can not deal with the connotation such a word has, i suggest you get help.
oh, and to call mutilation only something done against your consent, i respond with "sex change". i have no problem with people doing it, if it makes them happy. that being said, its body mutilation. -------------------------

you have found a way to tap into the psyche and read the minds of the world and know the pulse of the entire human thought process, and thus know the "vast vast majority" do not think of tattoos as disfigurement. or you read a poll. eh, they probably made up the numbers anyway.
to your other point, i am sure not all people with tattoos think they are a disfigurement. what i am sure of is that there is some guy in Beijing right now who is thinking to himself "why oh why did i get a Mao tattoo?" who not only regrets it, but thinks that Mao's ugly mug IS a disfigurement. or maybe just some guy who broke up with his girlfriend and had her name put on his arm. after he found out she was cheating on him. ouch. -------------------------

I intend to stay as long as EVE will have me.. I've been playing since 2004 and though I go through the occasional phase of not logging in, EVE will always be a part of my life. I've not grown bored yet, and there is still so much for me to try and accomplish!

I don't have a problem with that.. It was my choice, my decision, and I'm happy with that.. I know full well that some people don't like tattoos, some people would question why I would have something from a game permanently inked on me. It's all good, people are entitled to their own opinions and I'm certainly not going to abuse somebody for not agreeing with me or my choices in life; the world would be a boring place if we were all the same.
As for them not looking good when I'm 70, if I reach that age and I'm healthy then a tattoo will be the least of my worries!
