Just saying
so all the other people who have eve tats are idiots too? chribba for example! who's the idiot, trying to sell off his char to avoid repercussions of being a thief? anybody who doesn't know eve will just see a cool design, who cares what it's origins are? op likes it, thats all that matters, he's the one whos got to live with it. and the tat is pretty good imo. enough with the hate and name calling already, jeez!
@op, if you have any more done you shouldnt bother trying to share, forums aint what they used to be, it's full of vicious little ****s like this guy who can't say anything other than personal insults.
Hey, it's really not an issue for me. Like I said in a previous post, people are entitled to their own opinions, just as I'm entitled to mine. If they don't like the tattoo, that's fine - I knew that some would find it strange that I have a game related tattoo, that some wouldn't like the artwork... it really doesn't bother me. I don't consider myself an idiot, more someone who is passionate about something I like. Some people have a tattoo of Elvis, and while it's not to my taste if the inked person likes it then where's the problem?
I'm Happy, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.
Besides, it could have been worse, I could have had 'W' tattooed on each butt cheek, but I've never really got on with that particular game
But thanks for being so supportive!

Laughed at self mutilators mostly. They're like those other people who make permanent choices they regret that try to convince you it was the right choice, that their life is now complete because they did it, it wasn't a mistake, how could it have been a mistake, everything went perfectly since the decision made, you know the ones I mean.....
parents
I have a tat of crossed anchors on my hand from a night out with some old salts in the PI. I didn't go out expecting the screwed, Blued, and Tattooed treatment but they made sure I was tagged for life with my rate.
When I woke up with a hangover next to some chick I didn't remember meeting I had a real WTF moment when I saw my hand. I decided it was funny after about three seconds.
Gordamn it sure has paid for itself over the years. I've been let off of at least a dozen speeding tickets because the cop asked "What's that tattoo on your hand." Complete strangers will approach me and say hey to a fellow salty dog.
While I can't say I didn't make the decision to get that ink done (it was actually my second tat) I certainly don't regret it. Whenever I see it, I'm reminded of the fact I did something that I am proud of and that I consider to be important.
It's certainly not keeping me from accomplishing anything in life, so I wouldn't consider it mutilation.

Modification vs. mutilation is in the eye of the bearer vs. the beholder. In my opinion some tattoos, even very extensive designs or sets of designs, can be very pretty. Others, even small ones, can be tasteless, pointless, or just generic blandness. Generally I regard game-related tattoos to be lame but that's just because I've never felt strongly enough about any game to want to decorate myself with a reference to it.
OP's looks like it has some pretty nuanced color for what looks like a rather small tattoo, and its esoteric enough that nobody outside of Eve players would see it as anything other than a mysterious symbol, so it has that going for it too. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure someone with skin that fair is more prone to their tattoos fading from sunlight though.

Eventually, my aim initially is to have the twelve bloodline symbols, I'm a quarter way there now, unless the Jove have symbols as well, I haven't come across those as yet.

Jove do have a symbol of their own. You can find it, and others, in this thread http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=893152. (not linkifying since it would probably screw up due to the new linkwarnings CCP installed). ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting? EVE is a game of adaptation and planning. This is to the OP.
Im all for tattoo's and if you want eve related tat's then fair play to you. But for the love of good if you plan to have more then go to a different artist, he is without a doubt having your pants down putting that cheapskate indian ink on you. Just remember that your tatt's are for life so pay that bit extra and see a pro tatt artist who uses proper ink and has a steady hand.
