Well, I fought an Amarr faction (tier 1 cruiser, wuzzname?), and it used projectiles and dropped railguns with small laser crystals.
Someone told me one week before the <Projectile NERF Patch> that I should be a man and fly (and train for) a Tempest. I didn't.
Interesting thing is that the Tempest looks really good on paper, so if the Projectiles are boosted too much (read on par with hybrids, as pulse are too good right now), then the Tempest will become too good again...

I don't use a temp but my m8 does, Very gd miner and for missions as well.

Siddy, give it a ******* rest dude. You are so annoying. I bet you think about Projectiles when you aren't even playing Eve. Hell, you probably dream about them. I've not seen a single thread about Minmatar ships, the Tempest, the Typhoon or Projectiles that doesn't have atleast three posts by you where you are whining like a *****. And if that's not bad enough you insert your complaining into threads that aren't even about Projectiles. Will you shut up already?

rant on siddy, in fact im joining you on your holy crusade to ungimp the tempest!, cos atm, its kinda sucky, and i still cant use any other races ships, so im useing my rupture (cos the guns hit, sometimes). and my temp,. oh i use it for the thrilling lvl 3 missons :(

The last time I flew it was to shoot at a secure can someone had dropped in our belt. I picked up a holdfull of phased plasma from the corp hanger (strangely, the stocks are not moving at all) and got very bored watching my guns miss 1/3 at optimal. I ran Combat Log Analyser, compared the results to the Apoc who was doing the same and parked the usless tub for good.

I use it for everything but only because I can't use any other BS's.  And I use pulse lasers even tho I have 2mil skill points dedicated to projectiles  but even with basic laser skills its a great npc ship. 156sec cap recharge :)
