Well since you are paying for access to sa and sa just happens to be where you have to apply to goonswarm its mighty close to the edge. However it is not quite over the edge as after joining sa you can join the goons for free if you meet thier additional standards. Also I highly doubt ccp will knock a few thousand paying accounts off the server over a technicality unless there is a sudded spate of pay to access web sites that just happen to have an exclusive free eve corp membership subforum inside.

Since Goons do not normally allow outsiders to join their corp (and don't really let 'insiders' join without knowing them first), and seeing as how it was a conglomeration of people from one small part of the interwebz with a common goal anyhow... I fail to see how your argument works here. That, AND you don't technically have to have an SA account anyhow, though admittedly few people have gotten in that way.

Why would ccp ban all goon accounts?
All they would need to do is 'accidentally' the person receiving the money.
Having said all that, I have an SA account (no I do NOT want in on such a boring gimmicky style of play. Its like L4D where survivors just wtfbbq themselves in spawn so they can play infected), never paid a $ for it.
Adverts are easily 'removed' from view with FF.
There is no one putting a gun to your head either.
SomethingAwful = Funny and >>> any amount of Goon humor that ever happened in EVE.
Just far too hard to get serious enough about computer games to care and the humor sort of whimpers out with a fizzle before it starts.
