Ok guys, earlier today me and a corp mate thought to play 1vs1 (i played with Apoc he played with megathron).
We started at about 10km i think, anyhow he had a blasterthron setup. He started approaching with mwd and i started shooting, his shields went down quite fast ok till now.
Then he came at about 50-200m, at that distance i couldn't hit anything at all, he had me webbed too and i didn't have a mwd.He had perfect hardners for my dmg (1xem 2xthermal) and i had the same hardners so only the 2xthermal ones were protecting me from his dmg.
I tanked him for some time but my cap eventually dropped to 0 and i still couldn't hit him.....every now and then i could get a shot but he was easily repairing.
I was using 8xMegapulse with Gamma crystals
4 Cap rechargers (a mix of named ones)
2 large Armor repairers (Automated and inneficient),1xem hardner,2xthermal,2 cap relays.
My cap recharge is 230secs IIRC.
Now my question is this, Is there a way to counter this? Cos i couldn't get away to get some range so my guns could start hitting him.

I know that with the right hardners i could propably tank his damage.
Im asking if there is a way to counter it and start dealing some damage to him too

 He wasn't using drones and i had those hardners cos i was rat hunting.
No about the medium blasters, as the other guy said it's only for HIM....i dont want to have a setup for blasterthrons only just something that could help me beat them

Some nice ideas there Arleonenis
Since i use my med slots for cap recharge i was thinking to fit a mwd 2 webs and a heavy cap injector.
Anyhow some very nice ideas here guys thx all of you
