I have no dog in this show but wanted to keep the information flowing. (Let's not talk about why any threads are closed)
I have made my own headings for what people have said to keep it more readable.
From WhiteSavage of Avarice ôOn July 31st 0100 EVE time Avarice and a contingency from Maru Ka'ge engaged a medium-sized Mostly Harmless RR Battleship fleet on the Torrinos gate in EC-P8R. Mostly Harmless constant refusal to engage Avarice without capital support remained, and within minutes multiple carriers arrived on the field. Enemy capitals were naturally all promptly bubbled by our single heavy interdictor, jammed by our single falcon, tackles called, and appropriately ignored for the moment. Their attempted battleship support fleet was whittled down as a lack of apparent cohesion/intercommunication... alas midway the MH capital pilots cry's for help were finally answered by a Counsel Stiletto, who promptly got the F out.
Every single Mostly Harmless Battleship fielded failed to escape, and thus exploded, we turned to their whimpering capital ships who were apparently hurriedly trying to jump through the gate into highsec. Another wave of Counsel reinforcements appeared... hastily detonated, and the 50 or so MH pilots less then 5 jumps away flat-out refused to engage our 29 man bs gang out of respect and/or fear.
While we killed the last of their carriers/assorted attempts at support, a high level sleeper agent was activated, one of Mostly Harmless' largest corps, and a key player in the drama-flail to kick altruism, was raided for veldspar, mining barges and ejected from the alliance... rendering their JB system dysfunctional and their logistics in disarray. Safe to say MH will be losing sov in a couple systems after DT :)
Mostly Harmless primary stations were camped and an astonished 4 man MH defense fleet wiped while we caravaned our new assets to safety. ô
UPDATE July 31 0600: MH(SOLJA) Titan in branch under construction possibly missing.
****More Information as events unfold****
-WhiteSavage Altruism Public Relations
From Elno Wildclaw of Avarice ôOk, for all you who don't know, here is the sitrep.
A director in the Mostly Harmless corporation SOLJA just performed a decent-sized corp theft of emptying the wallet, grabbing all corp hangar ships, off-lining a few convenient pos's, and then put the coup-de-grac of removing the corporation from the alliance. There is no word yet on whether said (now former) director will be making any public statements. As SOLJA was a holder of at least half of the MH jb network, money moons, and a significant portion of the sovereignty systems, expect MH logistics to be in tatters, much sov to be lost, and many tears to be shed.ö
From WhiteSavage of Avarice ôThe reason this is threadworthy... is we're a 173 man alliance. Vs the 5th largest in EVE... carebear or not they brought numbers and they brought capitals, their system, their cyno jammer, all we have is coherence and ability... this is EVE :Pô
From Butter Dog of Ushra'Khan ôYes, that is indeed true. It's always gratifying when what goes around comes around, so grats.
Of course I have no doubt MH will recover rather than cascade, but this is quite 'David and Goliath' and I prefer rooting for the underdog :)ö

Nah, that thread's already been locked. Lets use this one instead, an SoT pilot was gracious enough to actually organize what's occured in the past, eh, 24 hours.
As for the titan, we are hoping that turning off Sov, as it was SOLJA pos's holding sov in the system the Titan was being built (which was up in Branch) is going to destroy the materials holding the Titan, though iirc when Goonswarm hit the off switch on Bob, they still had to go kill the capital ship assembly arrays. Can we get any confirmation if losing sov kills or just delays the building of the Titan?
As for the corp thief, his corp leader came online when we almost reached Branch and removed his roles before more damage could be done. Our plan was to use the agent to disable the tower, and then kill the then-defenseless capital ship assembly array, without having to concern ourselves with a pos siege in the deepest reaches of the north, aka NC's butthole.
The fleet managed to find their way back to Pure Blind with no serious incidents, as apparantly noone noticed a 20+ hostile bs gang roaming through their territory. Much cake and lulz were had upon our return, and very tired Euro pilots fell asleep at their keyboards upon reaching safe harbor. A soft word turneth away wrath. While its back is turned, shoot it in the head. |

Just turning off Sov isn't going to kill the Titan. You need to nuke the job or remove the POS. I rather doubt you'll be doing that in Branch.
Nice activity boost from Avarice and surprising lack of butt-kicking from MH. Will be interesting to see what follows.

Alright, thanks for the confirmation on that. We were going to offline the pos and nail the capital ship assembly array once the pos shields were turned off, but we couldnt get to branch before the CEO of the corporation's pos logged on and removed the roles of our Director buddy.
How funny would that have been, though, killing a baby titan in the middle of branch right under everyone's noses? A soft word turneth away wrath. While its back is turned, shoot it in the head. |

Mr. Play Dead is no gentlemen. I dislike him, his merry band and everything he represents with a passion I did not know I possessed. His new noble allies should learn to keep one hand on their weapons and both hands on their wallet.

One point to make, though, is that the Avarice fleet was not outnumbered. Quite the contrary-- it had something like 20 more bses than the MH fleet. Although, the MH guys did have some carriers. Should not detract from the excellent fighting that the Avarice guys did though. They handled themselves (and particularly the logisitics guys!) really, really well.
One correction, though-- I was the Council Stiletto and did not get the F out. I had to warp out, repair, and return 3 times, but was one of the last NC ships on field (and stayed around to point the Onyx that we got).
All in all it was a good fight and I have a lot of respect for the way Avarice conducted themselves.

Reviewing the fraps video, while we didn't outnumber them 2:1 at first, i'm rather certain more than a few MH pilots warped/jumped out when the fight started. But you're right, once the engagement was underway, even though they did have carrier support, in terms of pure numbers of bs's, we did outnumber them. Unfortunately, looking at the carrier killmails, not one of them could put out anything in the way of effective sustained repping ability. Nor were they doing much in the way of repping. You're right though, our logistics and our bs's remote repping were proving their worth, not even the carriers' fighters could break the tanks. A soft word turneth away wrath. While its back is turned, shoot it in the head. |

Seems like you will be better neighbours to have the odd stoush with aswell.
But as they say not over till the fat lady sing's lets just wait and see what NC will do.

Let the above linked fraps footage prove that a lot more MH ships were on the field but got the F out and didnt end up on kb stats... for the obvious reason that we didn't lose anything except an onyx and 3 ceptors.

We in no way feel that we have hurt MH irreversily. Really, we're only here to have fun... and shoot at the guys that dramaflail kicked us. While MH may be viewed as largely a failforce... there are some good players there too. Altruism's respect goes out to those in MH... you know who you are.
We have ofc, only been kicked within the last week or so. Expect this to be merely the begining :P
I won't say that you're right, you probably are, but:
