Hey folks!
I'm trying to fix my standings with Gallente, so I'm down in Gallente space running missions....half of them seem to be in lowsec and the other half seem to involve killing Amarr. I just did a mission and took five 2.4% hits to my Amarr standing in return for....nothing from Gallente. Yeah; foolish of me, I've been gone a long time and forgot the golden rule about not taking missions to kill another faction.
Someone just mentioned that Sisters of Eve missions give increased faction standing for Gallente. I inquired further and they said that they think the faction standing you get relates to whose territory you're in. Can anyone tell me more? If there's a way to do missions for someone to raise standing without angering another faction, that would be cool. :)

Short answer : Cosmos.
Long answer.
You get cross standing gain relative to the relationship between the faction you are running missions for and the faction you want.
If you have gallente standing enough to run gallente agent missions, and you want gallente standing, then its probably slower to run sisters missions. Sisters missions allows you to recover gallente standing from below -2, when gallente agents won't allow you to run missions for them.
As far as avoiding lowsec missions, you should look up the constellation for lowsec systems before you choose the agent if you are sensitive to that as an issue. dodixie and auvergne l4 agents are in pure highsec constellations.

As far as I know, there is no way to increase standings with one faction without angering the opposing factions. There are ways to minimize their fury, but not eliminate it altogether.
1. Don't do anti-empire missions. 2. Don't do anti-empire missions. 3. Don't do anti-empire missions. Yeah yeah ... I know you knew that already.
If you only do missions against pirates and mercs, you will still suffer derived standing hits, but those are nowhere near as bad as killing empire ships.
I don't think doing missions for SoE is some magic no-downside standings-fixer, but I could be wrong... -- Warezmy Carr's Skills: Here |

To start off you could access this agent with your current standings if you have connections 4 or 5. Titrutolf Haluarin Arnon IX - Moon 3 - Sisters of EVE Bureau Lvl 3 Q15.
This agent is the best in Hi sec, Inesmir Jimud Gicodel VII - Moon 14 - Sisters of EVE Bureau Q17 Public relations.
If you prefer low sec, Aeschee X - Moon 20 - Sisters of EVE Academy has 2 Q20 agents
I had a friend spend a month in Gicodel, he walked away with a 2 Bill Virtue set from Lp's and positive to Gallente.

I did that a long time ago (ie farmed and sold a virtue set), the Gicodel agent gives out a LOT of shoot-ammar-ships missions in my experience.

The region where you play has some effect on the enemy you get.
You can try some Quafe agent, in my experience they tend to give less anti-empire missions than Federation Navy or Intelligence and they have some great agent in Amarr space.
The suggested method for a fast faction standing recovery is to run courier missions as fast as possible. That way you will get storylines faster than doing combat missions.
Only storylines give you faction standing.
A rapid system to get some faction standing back is to run all the starting stations for a faction. In those station you get the "keep crime in keep" missions. " part storyline, with the second part giving you faction standing. The missions can't be repeated but you will get one for each station, so the equivalent of 9 level 1 storyline missions. Almost 1 full point of standing and with a decent frigate each mission will last less than 5 minutes.
In the same stations you will find the agents giving out the 10 episode tutorial. There the last mission is a stroyline. It will be a bit longer than doing only the 2 episode storylines but a good frigate will eat every opposition in those missions.

I worked for Inesmir Jimud for months - she does like to give anti-Amarr missions. I did them anyway and was happy.

Welp, I remember when I tried using the Sisters in Caldari space and they kept giving me Amarr to shoot. And when I tried them in Amarr space, they just gave me Caldari to shoot =[
So neither helped me get out of KOS. Only Diplomacy book did it and I haven't run a mission anywhere since then. And, I haven't tried doing the Sisters [pun intended] in either Minnie or Gall space.

Second question then:
What's the fastest way to fix standing? Is it to run L4 missions? Or should I crawl into an assault frigate and knock out L1-2 missions?
Or courier missions? I don't care about ISK, just want to get standing up, which I think requires storyline missions, which take 10-15 missions apiece to generate.

For standing, I've only known to do L4's. If you forget salvage shouldn't take more than a week of grinding last I remember.
IMO, I also suggest ignoring and let expire the storyline missions as those tend to affect the negative standing hit more than the positive you get from the race you are turning it in for.

Erm....but if you ignore storyline missions then you get no faction standing. Working for the federation navy doesn't increase my faction standing, just the corporation standing with the federation navy.

Edited by: Contralto on 02/08/2009 18:33:09 If you want to increase Gallente faction, Sisters is the best way, you will experience a minuscule Amarr/Caldari faction hit, If you accept anti Amarr missions, try not to shoot the nuet and weapon towers or structures, they give the biggest loss.
Doing normal Gallente missions isn't an option until you get your faction to -2 after Diplomacy. then you will only access low Q lvl 1's so it will take forever and the opposing faction will go down fast.
If you don't mind the hit you can do lvl 4 couriers for Creodron in Marosier, 0.6, Q18 agent there. you can do 16 missions for a storyline in 2 hours easily, most in a shuttle and the rest in a Blockade runner with expander s. Check out my Gallente standings, most came from that agent.
You can get a quick boost to Creodron by doing some cosmos missions.

My gallente standings are at -1.49 after all social skills are taken into account, so I can run gallente missions.
Just want to know how to fastest patch them up. I have Federation Navy at 6.5 standing or so, but can't access the Dodixie agent for L4s, so most of the missions I get out in Jel are lowsec.
Thinking of going and finding a L1 agent for someone and doing some couriers.....I remember seeing a chart once of which mission types were couriers. Anyone with a link? :)

It's probably outdated I think, but still applies mostly.

This is Pwett's database of mission divisions. It is very accurate as it was compiled by actual mission runners. Over 12,000 missions logged.
I tried the Jel agent but quickly gave up, as you say its mainly lo sec offerings. Try Fed Navy in Masalle, no lo sec missions there and its nice and quiet. I would say blitzing Lvl 3's would give you faster faction standing increase than lvl 4's.
I am currently grinding my 2 alts up to 8.6 to Fed Navy for Lvl V access. getting 9% per lvl V mission divided between them and my main. trouble is I am only getting 2 hi sec missions a day average. Once all three can access the 2 agents I will be able to ramp up the daily count. Also no hi sec Lvl v storylines so no Faction increase.

Try the L4 agent in Aunia. Lower quality, so easier to access. There's also an L3 agent there. -- Warezmy Carr's Skills: Here |
