o/
I feel this shouldn't go in the recruitment section as it's not really a search for a corp..but it kinda is...sort of.
Are there any PURE Capital Ship Producing Corporations out there that openly recruit? I've searched around, but can't find anyone (Other than Goons - So It was no doubt a scam) who does purely Capital Ship Production?

Looking to steal some BPO's?
Because that's probably what they are going to assume. ------------------------------ Sigs like this. |

Possibly. But even when I'd bring my own? lol Still no takers..it's wierd.
I'd also assume that any Corp that has access to billions of BPOs would have them locked down? No?

Ok - how about another way...
Do Alliances look for Pure Cap Building Corporations? Every 0.0 alliance I've been in wants the Indy chars to PvP when online...maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places?

So you want to sit safely in station making a profit in 0.0 while the rest of the guys are out getting blown up defending the space you're building in and you don't see why this might not be wanted?
Cap builders etc. tend to be a alt account/char to a PvPer as they need very little time in game and can be done all from the side lines; why would an alliance need/want that? ASCN, D2 et al are all examples of what happens next then.

I AM an alt to a pvper. But, all 0.0 Alliances I've been part of haven't really had an "open" Capital Program - it's more just someone doing it off their own back to bring in some money - but I would imagine all 0.0 alliances must have a major indy backbone..They just appear invisible! (Or not in the alliance at least as far as I can see!)
Edit: Oh, and when has building caps been a "sit in station making a profit" Job?

0.0 alliances tend to just have a few people get together and start various cap building programs, etc for personal profit. Indy backbones, as they're used for production, tend to work themselves out via a free market, with most niches getting filled eventually. Tower fuelling and moon mining sometimes involve an alliance-run program, but as those are sensitive areas, they are almost never "out in the open".

Ah, thats why I can't find a dedicated "corp" that runs the alliance capital Ships - Its just a few people in each that get together and do it themselves.
Thats all I wanted to know. Thanks for that information :)

that and to be honest this way seems to end up being the most "secure" way of doing buisness. I dont think everyone has one perma sight that they build caps/supercaps at its just where they happen to build them at when/where they need them.yes they do have logistics ops but why haul 1-10 months worth of minerals from this big ass pile over here clear over to the caps shipyard way over there when you can just grab up some bpcs zip over in a fast ship and build wherever all of your big piles of crap currently are.

Yeah. As was pointed out above it's usually personal project of someone. Altho older 0.0 corporations also have corp programmes for that usually - but that is not something you recruit people into as the ones running it have been with you few plus years already. Just join a regular zerozero corporation, work hard, and one day you can be the one either starting that project for your corp or taken into to industrial core gang.
You see, while BPO's themselves are locked down there is also a lot of minerals at line you just don't let anyone have acsess to.

You can always have your own line of capital BPOs and make copies for your corp and/or alliance.
If you do this just make a small empire research corp that you control and burn off copies that you then sell to your corp. This is a secure and safe way for a corp to build capitals as they won't need to worry about the BPOs being stolen unless you like to steal from yourself.

In my corp its just a few people who produce caps. Its not very hard which is why a lot of people just do it in small groups. I dont think we are recruiting though.

Capital building really doesn't require a ton of people if you have enough prints and a long enough material chain.
A single account can more or less handle a few freighters, orcas, carriers a month easily. |
