Trolling (in my opinion) is the act of showing disrespect towards a thread, a topic, or a forum. A person ridiculing a topic is trolling, as is a person who spams a subforum with stupid posts. Flaming (again in my opinion) is the act of showing disrespect towards a person who has posted on a thread. If Alice had posted here and someone else insulted her, that would be flaming. Remember Flaming is against a person, whereas trolling in against an idea or a forum. Because of this, your question becomes easy to answer. A troll is someone who disrespects a topic or a forum by propagating disrespectful posts towards or about it.
