Edited by: Saint VII on 04/08/2009 13:58:58 To put this question in context, I am mostly active in the Heimatar / Metropolis regions, and I'm trying to help my friends (new to game) get their standing up so they can join the Minmatar Militia with me.
OK, when I was first starting (just a few weeks ago), I recall bumping into some "epic" mission-chain. It was not Sisters of EVE, and it was not a career agent. As I recall, it had me do a long series of mostly-courier missions, that basically put me on the standing map with a healthy portion of the Minmatar NPC corps. I *think* (totally not sure) it gave me a nice little Minmatar Republic standing boost, too.
My friend recalls doing a simliar chain that had him in search of Dolls.
Are we rabid or do any of these things sound familiar? I can't find them again, and I'm wondering if (a) they do in fact raise empire standing and (b) if anybody can help me find them.
I know this is a longshot, but I'm hoping someone here is familiar with what I'm talking about.

The Doll questline I remember, but sadly, it's just normal questline from normal agent. http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=LostThatBet1
As for the other which you had, I have no idea.

Look at your standings tab in your character sheet. Right click on the corp and look at your transaction history. That'll give you the names of the missions you ran and the resulting standing increase. You might need some patience though :)

Not logged in to check at the moment, but I'm sure I've got 50-60 missions for Fed Navy in mine, and I only run a mission every few days.

That sounds very much like an "event" mission chain; extended arcs created for beginners, as I recall (I've not worked on them myself, only run them as a player a while ago). I believe they're designed to do just what it sounds like they did, introduce you to the various corporations of your factions and get you started on the standings towards them.
Event Agents are a special type of agent, and they're identified by their unique type in the information panel (it will say "Type: Event" - for an example check out Jomodar Infreger).

Not sure about the Dollhouse mission, but the Sister's of Eve mission is probably the Lvl 1 Epic Arc set. I've completed it recently and it has little to no effect on standings, due to it being the "experimental" 1st run of epic arcs. 52 missions all related to one another by a storyline, if i remember correctly. These are all basically courier missions with a "shoot 3-6 npc frigs" twist on them. These are good for beginners that have a few SP under their belts, but not enough to have dropped standings low enough where other factions will shoot on sight. But again, not good for faction standings, no notable changes are made from running this arc.
