How about lending your friend Zoidberg some money, mister millionaire!?
But seriously, take a step back, and plan with a clear mind. Get out of debt, get a house that is all paid off and done with, and then secure the rest so you are set for a good time into the future. Don't waste it, and spend sparingly. Traveling is an allowed expense, go out and learn about different people and cultures. See what life can really be about now that you are freed from being a wage/debt slave. |

Well well. Lets see here. What could an Eve player possibly do if they had the money in RL to do it?
Buy a boat, put 2 machine guns on boat with laser tracking. Ride boat up and down the Somalia coast line using the slow container ships as bait for Somalia pirates, wait for help broadcast from container ship, Pew Pew Somalia Pirates.

Wanna change a few lives? $50k would radically change how my family lives forever :)
Seriously, I think if I won the lottery I'd try to get a reality TV program for a season where I went around the country meeting people and finding out just how much money would change their lives. Families living paycheck-to-paycheck having a car paid off, that kind of thing. It's amazing how big a difference a years' salary would make to most Americans. Use it to raise awareness of just how close most people are to totally changing their lives...if they'd just manage their money. It's time to put an end to CCP's war on piracy. Fight your own battles and stop asking CCP to do it for you. |

First, don't buy an ungodly huge McMansion. You're not going to want to clean it, and if you don't have anything better to spend $28M on than maid service, I can think of things. Like donating to me, so I can buy lottery tickets and win the lottery. Plan to not go out and buy everything you've ever wanted. Before making any major purchase, stop what you're doing, and think long and hard about it. $28M is effectively enough money to never seriously work again in your life. Unless you start blowing it on useless crap. Take a year off of work/etc., and freaking travel. You will not regret doing this, period. If you hate your job, quit your job. Plan on finding another job. You will eventually want one of those - you will get bored to tears otherwise - but you're in a position to do what you love, rather than what pays the bills and/or pays for nice things. Finally, don't forget the skills you've learned in EVE. If something seems too good to be true, it is. Trust no one. Take the desire the EVE playerbase has to separate you from your ISK, and magnify that by a few thousand. Those people are out there, and they're seeking your millions for "investment" right nao.
Just like the Reds... on their knees begging for handouts.
Haha I kid I kid, RP'ing don't ya know
This is some good advice though, I personally hate travelling and like to stay in my comfy country but that's just because I've done it so much I'm sick of it. |

Buy this U.S. Navy converted anti-submarine warfare boat. Convert it to anti-fish warfare and partying use and take us all out fishing.
Seriously, though, I'd probably buy some kind of little shop or business. Nothing too stressful-- maybe a used book store, beer and bait shop, something like that. Hire somebody to manage it day-to-day, and just to the more interesting stuff of growing the business. People don't seem to do well if they're idle and don't have to work at something. Well, the hereditary rich can handle it, but they get intensive training from childhood on how to do it. |

Lol Anti-Fish warfare boat.
Not in any of the places mentioned do :p. Just spent the last few days away just hiking some trails that I never had the time to do before. Twas nice.
Also thought about something to do that would be fun to do in EVE. I wanted to do something that was not a one shot thing. So I am thinking about running a lottery. Since I will front the money to buy the time cards and plex to build a a considerable sum of isk that will be the prizes. Then the money from the ticket cost (Thinking 1 or 2 million per ticket max of 250 per character) will then be turned over to the next lottery's prizes and so on. Hold it once every month or every other month. Then have a grad lottery every year on the anniversary of my win that I will add isk to to boost up any shortcomings from the past year if the lottery does not make enough isk to be self sustaining.
Already started the process of generating isk. Not going to cash in all the plex/time cards at once because I don't want to screw with the market. I have consulted with others that have run lotteries and they are helping me plug any holes in my ideas. Within the next week I should have an idea on how much isk I have generated. Then a week after that I'll kick off advertising it. If it fails then it fails and whatever few people play will get exceedingly EVE rich.
The one question I have for you guys and gals is this. Would you guys rather have isk only as prizes or a combo of isk and ships. My thinking is to just go isk only because if you want a ship you will just buy it with the isk if you win a ship that you will never fly the. You will have to sell it and most likely never get what it was originally worth. Also taking time to source the ships will slow down the process of getting prizes together.
So tell me what you think. |

Help who you feel is in need, and don't give him fish. Buy some fishing equipment and pay them fishing lessons or learn yourself to teach after.
By the way, don't sub EvE for life... you never know when they are going to fix the new UI.
On the other way, I'm unemployed and I'm strugling to keep my sub alive, so I would love to win some lotery and have some money to pay for plex... or if some apeard on a contract it would be fantastic |

Also if you are going yourself to fanfest remember CCP accept charitible donation to icelandic charities in exchange for unique eve merchandise (like the 2012 DUST gun some bloke paid a few grand for)

Well, bought a house last week and had the paperwork sped up and have been moving in this past week. Nothing really fancy just a nice well built 4 bedroom 2 bath with a huge lawn and pool. Haven't ahead much time to play but I have had my friend selling off a massive stack of plex for isk. Took a little longer to get rid of it all than we imagined.
Going to kick off ticket sales at 00:00 Wed the 20th and end 20th June 00:00 with winners announced within an hour. Tickets will be 5 million each with a max of 100 tickets per charcter. On Monday I will have a grand total how much isk will be given away and the priize breakdown. It will be isk prizes and lots of it.
Was looking for an idea to spread the word about it and funny enough my non gaming fianc+¬ had a good idea which I am going to use. People who spread the word around will get free tickets. When someone buys tickets if the put your name in the note/reason section you will get free tickets equal to the amount bought up to 100. If your name is on 200 tickets sales or more your will get uto a total of 150 free tickets. This will be the only way to get more tickets than the normal limit. If figured since I don't give a hoot about making money off this it would be a good way to get people who don't have a lot of isk to get in this for free. And give them a leg up.
So stay tuned.... |

Just a general warning to those of you who haven't figured it out yet:
This entire thread is a setup for a scam lottery, and is designed for the sole purpose of luring you in, and giving up your hard earned ISK to a con artist.
If OP has all the money he needs, why ask ISK for tickets, further more, why a 500million ticket sale pr character? He claims he want people with very little ISK to get in on this, yet he asks 5 million ISK a ticket.
Do not touch this with a 10-feet pole. It's a scam. Do not let his lies delude you.
That being said, +1 to the OP, for a well thought out scam. I like it, and you'll probably trick a few people. It's a shame you didn't actually win the lottery, and never will, because that would have been just lovely. I guess you will just have to get a job, and work your ass off like everyone else. Enjoy! |

You want advice? Sure thing:
GÇ£If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.GÇ¥ (also, Luke 12:13-21)
In the long run that is probably the most fun thing you can do with it since money corrupts while giving it away is relieving. Studies have shown time and time again that affluent people are more prone to cheating, lying and stealing. Furthermore, they are less compassionate and more selfish than the average person. You are better off without the money. Mark these words. |
