We are actually looking into that. Not a trip to the space station or anything. I don't have that much money. Looking at something like what virgin is doing with their spaceplanes trips. Sadly no one is operating passenger trips yet but I plan on doing it as soon as it is available.

You don't have to do it tomorrow. Since you're still young and the industry is just starting to become a reality, give it 5 to 10 years to mature and then look at your options again. Even in the best case scenario, it'll still be a luxury most people can't ever afford and by then some of the initial problems have been ironed out.

Buy a yacht and a crew...sail around....or buy a train car. I'd probably just travel like it was going out of style. Maybe invest in a few kick starter companies too. Also have to find some sort of job thats fulfilling. Else fear of becoming a Paris Hilton type devoid and hollow.

Someone told me they knew a rich guy who just keeps going to school part time (2 classes or so a semester) just what ever tickles his fancy.

Not much advice I can give except to make sure your investments are well diversified. Couldn't think of anything worse than trying to safely invest it in something only to see that investment crash in value a few years down the track.

I don't live in the USA. The country where I am from when you win the lottery you get all the money that is advertised and taxes are already factored in.

That answers your unasked question as to why they were already wealthy to begin with (and why you're not).

First, don't buy an ungodly huge McMansion. You're not going to want to clean it, and if you don't have anything better to spend $28M on than maid service, I can think of things. Like donating to me, so I can buy lottery tickets and win the lottery.

Plan to not go out and buy everything you've ever wanted. Before making any major purchase, stop what you're doing, and think long and hard about it. $28M is effectively enough money to never seriously work again in your life. Unless you start blowing it on useless crap.

Take a year off of work/etc., and freaking travel. You will not regret doing this, period.

If you hate your job, quit your job. Plan on finding another job. You will eventually want one of those - you will get bored to tears otherwise - but you're in a position to do what you love, rather than what pays the bills and/or pays for nice things.

Finally, don't forget the skills you've learned in EVE. If something seems too good to be true, it is. Trust no one. Take the desire the EVE playerbase has to separate you from your ISK, and magnify that by a few thousand. Those people are out there, and they're seeking your millions for "investment" right nao.

wow everyone so serious. enjoy it all. waste it, give it, spend it, invest it, dont turn into a knob. you could be dead tomorrow... do everything you ever wanted to do and then some. invent something, create something, do something spectacular, do something stupid and once youve done it all, live for a while with nothing but what you had before, just to remind yourself of who you are.

Just felt the need to share. Except for a few close family members and dear friends I have not told a soul. Figured it would be safe to shout it at the top of my lungs on here using a unattached character. I would be afraid someone would be able to find me through my real characters if I posted with them. I am still kind of floored by it all but damn, it does feel good.

So now I am 28ish mil in the black now and have gone on a donating spree to a bunch of local charities annonomously . Of course my real close friends and family have been taken care of and my partner and I are house hunting and planning many many trips overseas to see the world. It has been a hectic two weeks with all of the paperwork, meetings with my wealth manager ( that still makes me laugh. I have a a friggin wealth manager WTF!). Main idea is to have most of the money invested wisely and live off the interest plus x amount set aside for doing stupid stuff.

So what stupid/fun stuff should I do. Give me ideas people. Yes I'm going to still play eve because money or not it's fun.

In other news around 1300 tickets have been sold to 8 different people. If it is all I get for the first lottery I really don't mind. I have enough to run this for at least 6 months and those who buy tickets for the first one can go laughing to the bank.

I wanted people to buy tickets so it continues to feed the trust fund of isk i am building up. I want this lottery to go on month after month after month for years to come Plain and simple. If you want proof well here it is

I am no rush. I know it will happened sooner or later. Plenty of things to do to keep me occupied in the mean time. Already planning on getting my pilots license. Always been a dream of mine to be able to fly and own my own plane. Now I have the time and money to do it .

No I won't be buying plex for everyone. My best friend who I play eve with gave me an idea of something to do for the Eve community. I am currently thinking about it.
