I have been away for the game for about 5 years now. Just coming back any trying to get into the swing of things. I notice that there are a ton of new things though that I know nothing about. Are there any good PvP guides out there that I can read? I also am having trouble with a lot of the acronyms. I don't know what a lot of them mean is there a glossary anywhere. Thanks for any help.

Google showed me 3 perfectly good glossaries upon Googling "eve glossary".
PvP guides - meh, they're outdated for the most part I'd imagine. Bit hard to know where to start.

I found the guides on google, but I wasn't sure how current they were. Thanks for telling me they are current. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would very grateful. I have read through the forums and its mostly people just whining about one thing or another. Please help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Talk to Agony Unleashed. They take ppl new to pvp under their wings and show you some basics for a couple of hours. Definitively beats reading through the forums for hours on end. :) I took two of their courses just for fun and I enjoyed them a lot. They also had some reading material on their website which I guess is up to date. However, they always had a slightly different view on pvp than most of the rest of eve but it doesn't hurt to get another perspective on things.

The best guide you can get will be to buy a couple of frigs and just test whatever it is your curious about. ~ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on. |

Thanks for the plug - but we're on a teaching hiatus until after the Alliance Tournament. We're taking a break to make sure we've got our tournament team up to scratch - hopefully we can improve on our quarter finals showing last time and make it into the top 4, 2 or even 1.
We'd be happy to teach you a thing or two, once we get our teaching schedule out for the later half of September. In the meantime, we've got a couple of people who regularly answer questions here.

All the info you need can be found in the Enrolment FAQ page on our website. We've already got an instructor and a few support pilots thinking about the first class after the tournament......but no date has been set yet.
Edit: and thanks for the "Good Luck". We'll try to put on a good show - although I can't guarantee any mad self-destructing vigil pilots this year, who knows what may happen. ______________________ Isn't it time you learned to fight back? Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University.
