As all of you who have been podded by the moo at a gate while simply traveling know, it sucks. For those of you that haven't, it sucks. CCP needs to do something about it or I will be cancelling my subscription very soon, with what I imagine wil be a lot of other people. I am not upset about the PvP aspects of the game at all, I think it is important. What I am upset about is the exploitations the moo are using. I am sure CCP did not have this in mind when developing the game, so fix it! Ten people camping a gate with tons of containers around, killing everyone who comes by before they even have a chance to respond because of the lag! Come on CCP! If you do not fix this aspect of the game very soon, no one is going to pay 13 bucks a month for this.

I had 2 paragraphs written about ways to view them as making the game interesting, solutions around them and various other tactice, blah, blah, blah...but why waste my time...this info has been posted in so many topics, it is rather sickning...so one has to assume that none of these solutions, tactics, strategies, etc. are of any interest to you...so sorry to see you go, but I hope you find a MMORPG that suits your playstyle...but most of the ones I have seen provide challenges for the players to overcome...that seems to be why you are leaving Eve...

What's cool is that the only reason you're having trouble is that you're bad at the game, because you're not as smart as the people who are good at it. And you're whiny. ___________________________________________

you cant always just go another way, it might invlove as many as 40 jumps.
The most ironic part of this whole pirate issue, is that mOo and other player pirates go on about how we should stop whining and that theyr making the game more exciting. Like combat as opposed to just watching your ship mine all day, when in fact they are forcing boredom on us. Instead of filling the hour spent jumping thruough however many gates with something uselfull, like watching tv or something, we have to sit and WATCH it. So, we cant be sensible and be afk, because that makes us nubs. We cant mine because thats boring, and it makes us nubs. What we SHOULD do is stare at the game for 60 minutes, unable to interact with it in any other way than training skills, because what? that makes us decent players? So on the one hand your saying pirating is adding excitement, whereas in fact, its adding tedium and boredom for most people.

setec, if you bothered to read his post, he ment that ccp should deal with the exploits that moo are using to gain an upperhand on people i.e. lagging with cargo containers. For someone who doesn't like whining, you really do enjoy whining about everyone else whining, how ironic...

I could care less about m0o or their way of playing the game --I've played the pirate role in another game so I know how fun it can be.
With that said... Using exploits to gain the upper hand ruins the game for everyone. This forces the devs to make extreme changes and then we end up with "Eve: Carebears in Space" So play it the way you want -- just dont whine when things change for the worse. Wait, you guys were warped to where because...?

The exitance of mOo has it's good sides and its negative ones too, we just have to make a choice which one is weighing heavier.......glad I'm not making that decision though :)

I didn't really have time for a screenshot, much less anything else. If you want proof just try going through Passari. You'll believe me really quick...and you'll also understand what I'm talking about.

Here's your first bit of bad news:
I camp a gate to kill the pirates that spawn there for their loot. I actually try and haul that loot away to a nearby station. And despite trying to haul away the loot and that there are only 4 spawn points, cargo canisters do pile up between trips and spawns. If I was killing people at that gate, I'm sure a helluva lot more would pile up because it would be impossible to haul away all the loot and I'd pick and choose what to actually carry in the limited cargo space of my ship.

Man I've heard some whiny little *****es on these boards, but the original poster has to have the title of MORON added to the top of that list.

It's possible to target cargo canisters and blow them up. If there's trash loot not worth your time to haul, do everyone a favor and get rid of it entirely.
If a bunch of people are camping a gate and there's little all around, it's because they want it there. Matters little whether they dropped it or left it from newbie pirates.

There is a big difference between leftover containers from kilss and 100+ can each with 1 piece of ammo in it. I agree with the original poster. If CCP does NOT start punishing exploite people will start to leave in droves. The game has only been out a little over a month and already look at the number of severe exploits/cheats that have gone unpunnished.
1) Skill Exploit that allowed many players in the first week to level skills in no time simply by canceling training. (this was never rolled back and no one was punished that used it)
2) Insurance bug. People made Billions on this and not ALL of it was covered by the rollback. Again none of the exploiters were punished.
Now we have people dropping hundreds of cans with 1 ammo each causing lag to the point where people are dead before they even know they are being fired on. Also using the inst shield/cap recharge of stations to gain an advantage is also an exploit. Again no one is being punished.
In EVERY MMORPG I have ever played exploiters are not tolerated. CCP on the other hand seems to be saying that exploiting is ok and to me and many others this is unnacceptable. |

Nice reply Hippie.
Now if the wild and crazy moderators of this board have any backbone you should be given the prize of a few days off at least.
Absolutely the most childish reply of all the replies in this thread.

<< 2) Insurance bug. People made Billions on this and not ALL of it was covered by the rollback. >>
Explain this one, please. Since my understanding was that the exploit involved ship insurance and the rollback went from when they took down the servers back to when they applied the patch. So how could the isk that was gained survive a patch that wiped it and any items bought?

Hi,
yep, station redocking sucks (unless it's a player owned station, and you are in the corp).
Why should be someone (like a station manager) support a combat party by allowing docking and leaving in 30 seconds intervals?
And who is being payed for reloading the shields of the players who dock?
Bye...

Pay attention to your local chat and the people in it. If you're solo and see an/the enemy and are far from prepared to deal with a threat, cancel your extended travel plans to arrange a more local get-a-way.
