One thing that scares me are the rules about teams throwing a match or not showing up. Past history shows this is not something to be taken lightly. Betting on EVE Alliance Tournaments is like betting on pro wrestling. Rigged matches do happen and are applauded (even if they're rare). That's not something I'm comfortable risking a lot of isk on.
Not that there's anything you can do about it, and I think your rules are reasonable in that regard, but the way these things have played out over the years doesn't exactly inspire confidence. |

This has now been corrected.
20 people have been wired additional ISK - For a total of 504,489,672.04 ISK
Furthermore 6 people have been wired too much ISK - for a total of : 537,889,671.86 ISK
As the error is mine, I consider that ISK lost - But have written them all regardless.

Confirming my alt got a payout + additional isk i the 135 category. Suggest you run the numbers again. I calculated what my winnings should be based on your All Bets page and I think you sent too much. My alt did get an evemail about the correction, but didn't say anything about being one of the six who got overpaid.
A big +10 to you guy for being honest (shocked, shocked I tell you!) and trying to do the right thing here. It's got to be a lot of work. I hope your 10% cut makes it worth it. |

The thing is, I almost never make calculation mistakes in my favor, so when I saw my payout substantially above what I was expecting I naturally assumed it was your math that must be in error. I derped. Re-doing the calculations shows that yesterday I must have added up AL and/or AW incorrectly. That'll teach me to PVC (player vs calculator) with 2/3 of the light bulbs in the room blown out.
Good job, again, with this. Next year I'll pay attention to the All Bets page before I wager! I also hope a lot more people bet since it makes for more excitement given the potential for higher payouts. |
