Edited by: Commander Jones on 06/10/2004 16:29:59 nevermind this post. it looks like the test requirements aren't the real requirements so pretty much anyone should be able to fly the ships and use the POS...I apologize for being a faithless dog CCP

Stating the obvious. Perhaps its in the pipeline. btw: someone needs to test skill training too I guess :). Accelerated learning would be a much better option, if possible (ie. giving us all insane attributes).

From what I understood in the shiva channel yesterday they aren't planning to give us the skills due to the fact that they want conditions to be as TQ like as possible. So as you see my statement may not be as obvious as you might imagine. I do however, like your idea. Accelerated training times would be a decent solution.

no, there are way to many bugs that must be sampled before we test new pos, and ships etc.

I have no problem with testing the current bugs before I move on the the new ships/POS. But I'd like to get a chance to test those eventually as well.
I'm not saying "OMG GIVE US ALL L33T SKILLS NOW OR I'LL WTFPWN J00". All I want is a chance to try out the new stuff at some later point of the testing period

You know, I always wondered why they never did this for Chaos as well. I mean it's all well and good to give people new toys to play with, but if it's going to take someone possibly days to be able to test properly then what's the point.
I understand the point of making it "as TQ as possible", but at at least create a second server where it might not be as TQ as you might like, but people can still test the hell out of things.

I agree on the skills for the new items. Shiva is not far off, and to be able to test the new items properly, testers need to have the skills to use them.
Either install the needed skills to the testers, or greatly accelerate the learning of them.
CCP has done an awesome job, with the game, and with setting up the Shiva test server, it would be a shame to let bugs slip into the release simply because they weren't tested fully during this debugging phase. ________________________________________________ From deep in space where nobody hears my screams...
