Before recent regulations regarding warp travel, our warp travel from stations to locations in system resembled more closely to a wormhole style travel. Now, our warp travel utilizes technology more akin to an acceleration gate. Why the change, and how suspicious is it that the new regulations came at the same time as the discovery of wormholes? I suspect a coverup to the highest level.
Maybe it's a manufacturer that was knowingly producing parts that were "poluting" or eroding space time fabric which eventually led to the appearance of these wormholes. The liability in this regard would be unfathomable.
Now let me be clear. I am in no way saying that I have the facts. I just have theories. These "conincidences" require explanation.

You're forgetting that your perception of events whist in a pod is affected by the firmware being used by your ship's computer, and that the firmware is from time to time updated.
As such, it's very possible for the subjective appearance of something to change when in fact no change in objective reality has occured.

Mr Buzz, if you are correct then it means that the authorities have addressed the problem, does it not?

I reckon some moons must have been in alignment for a couple hours at the date and time of this original post!
I say prep for dustoff, nuke the site from orbit...

Something is amiss with perception, for sure.
There are times I could have sworn that ships coming out of warp were flying sideways.
