Lo guys, someone answer my question plz.
Deep core mining, does it have any **positive** effects on the low end roids like veld and plag? or does it just do what a normal mining laser would?

It is only useful for mining Mercoxit. Deep Core Mining lasers CAN mine other ores, but only at the speed of a Miner I, and taking MUCH more cap and CPU.

Yep it is currenly only in systems where you find ark, which is the most rare of roids. No mentioning about plans to change this from what i've heard atleast.

You can find mercoxit in fields that doesnt even have bistot in it.

Yeah and watch the dust clouds they generate, they dissolve anything within 5k of em, so for gods sake dont use harvis

Merco is too hard to get. so deep core is useless till shiva comes out. =/ zydrine and megacyte are good enough. much more profit

Actually, in the Shiva release, there will be DCM2's, which have twice the yeild of standard miner II's, and have about 1500 CPU requirement, therefore only mountable on the ORE mining barges. Deep Core mining is a worthwhile investment after all for the intense miner.

my guess is the dcm II will be used on the tech 2 mining ships here
