depends on the gate usually there is a time limit as to when the gate is open so your gang mates can jump though how ever if u jump out and the time limit is up you will need to get another tag to re open it.

no you dont need missions. You travel to a cosmos area in each area you will have certain Tins which you need to open with the aid of an arch scanner. You do not need missions to get the items only the **** and skill the actually survive :P
