Hi
I'm currently going through the sequence of mission called Human Cattle. Now I've defeated the first and second wave of enemies. At the third area there are a crapload of Amarr BSs and other gargantuan ships I have no hope of fighting against in my crappy Celestis. There's also a jump gate there. Now how should I proceed? Obiously I have to go deeper into the space through the jump gate but those BS will no doubt tear me to pieces without even blinking an eye.
Thanks for any advice!

If you see the amarr fleet you have completed the mission ;) go back to your agent and get your rewards. |

Ugh... I thought of that first but it didn't work. Do I need to kill the ship which is very close to me when I jump in or do I need to get closer to the fleet?

You just need to kill the nearby frigate, then warp outta there.

I was helping a corp mate out, and was somewhat surprised to see the amarr fleet waiting for us - so off we went, rounded up a few b/s's and came back - net result, insta agro of the whole lot and we ran away after killing about 3 ships

I lost my thorax during part 3. I thought these missions were designed to be done solo? The second you warp in youre swarmed by about 10 ships and there was no way i could take them out before i died. Tried warping out once i got to structure hp but by the time i aligned i was dead.

They are and the whole human cattle series is very doable in a Thorax. You might need more skills or to look to your fitting if you're having problems.

yeah i was using rail guns, think i might try switching to blasters and light drones instead of hammerheads. Sorry to hijack the thread btw, back on topic.

I about crapped myself on this mission too... and despite that last guy "just" being a frigate, it's a rediculously hard frigate, he has a monster armor regen that is difficult to get past if you arent set up right. I had success in my thorax using three blasters, three hammerhead drones, two energy vampires and a webifier, plus a lot of cap regeneration low slots.

Edited by: Kayl Breinhar on 06/02/2006 10:08:28 I soloed 1-4 in my Thorax in a ship using no hardeners and no plate. Yes, I'm a lucky idiot, especially using a Blasterax.
I lost it in 5 merely because I overestimated my longevity, or I would've been able to extend and escape. Of course, I'd learned my lesson in 5 and equipped Kin/Therm active hardeners.
Thankfully dying only took my 10mn AB II as the most expensive item casualty (thankfully sparing my E50 Nos that I got for 2.7 mill ). Plus I'm in the process of training Eng/Elec/Mech to V and Armor Comp/Armor Repair to at least III and IV respectively. And after that, the cap skills to at least IV on the pool and V on the regen to eliminate/lessen the need for a cap recharger/relay.
I now keep a stable of Light Modal Neutrons and T2 Neutrons in reserve for running HC again. Those frigates ARE a pain in the ass to hit.
Thorax just need a LOT of juice to be

Five members of my corp took out that fleet twice in one night (two missions) .. the key (as in any mission) is how you aggro them. In this particular senario I think most of the npc's will aggro on ANY ship that breaks 100km from them.
Solution, have a dedicated tank and a logistic's ship to tank them. We used a Raven as the tank and a Domi with 4 large shield transporters and 5 heavy shield rep drones.
The tank broke the aggro range with everyone else behind him and then as the npc's stream towards the tank everyone can open up as they enter their range. In total we had 2 Raven's the medic Domi, a Wolf and a Kestrel.
Same method works for taking out the reinforcements in Portal to war.

I'm just about to have a bash at this one in my Moa. I'll let you know how it goes. No doubt I'll be back for advice when I get my butt kicked.

The frigates in some of these new missions are just scary sometimes. In Human Cattle 3 I think there's this group of Kestrels with an amount of HP close to a cruiser's, fitted with 3 dual 150mm railguns or something. I want the same Kestrel. - Ship Gallery - Helpdesk from Hell |

When i got to the last part and saw the amarr fleet there my jeans became brown very quickly. I counted that fleet. 27 frigs, 3 cruisers and 14 bs. This was the lvl 2 version.

Normal mission type loot (ie 1mn ab's from the bs's). The tags are worth something though so with a small number of pilots it can be profitable. Then again with a small number of pilots you need to be good or organised.

I remmeber this mission. I took out the amarr fleet. Was fun but the loot was awful. I did enjoy the amarr standing hit which some day will make me kill on sight in 40% of empire space, though :).

The lvl with all the BS has a jumpgate.
Since so many of you killed that fleet, could you enlighten the rest of us as to what is on the other side of the jumpgate, or didn't you go through or is it inaccessible?

i did the human cattle both in a cyclone and a rupture solo and i found it enjoyable (at 3-4 mil SP total). of course the last room and its amarr battle fleet cant be done solo. no way. we did this in a group of several BS, HAC and BC a few times. good loot. but the accgate at the end is just furniture. no hidden wonders.

Its not an active gate, just decoration. There is nothing else (and destroying all the buildings is a waste of ammo to)

I did this mission set with a Thorax using blasters. The last frigate I killed with tech II med drones and a webber. Was pretty easy. Saved my ammo.
