So when can we expect this to be introduced? Seeing as it was mentioned CCP will be providing KB/M support on the PS3? |

Even something like the Eagleeye could be nice, seems to be doing very well on other FPS |

Good lord, I need to get more PS3 FPS games... those guys freaking sucked. I know there are a few people who use the Keyboard + Mouse option for Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 and they do better than they normally would (i.e they can actually hit stuff lol) but against a seasoned player with a Controller they generally still die horribly.
The only real advantage I personally find with the Keyboard and Mouse combo is when sniping, it is by far easier without a generous auto-aim mechanic. In the close quarters stuff or even vehicles, nothing beats the controller imo
Honestly right now I wouldn't mind knowing if anyone has links for getting the Xbox 360 controllers to work on the PS3, cause I just feel far more comfortable using those. Perhaps CCP could provide support for the Windows Crossfire Device on the PS3 would love you guys long time if I could use my 360 controller and headset. |

Lol, the guy relying on auto-aim talking about skills. Man, i love guys like you because my k/d-ratio gets so padded. I have used kb/mouse-option on the xbox and got banned for cheating, because no one believed someone could be this superior. It won-¦t be long and kb/mouse will be as obligatory as a shield-tank in a shield-gang, if you want join a team. "You either need less science fiction or more medication."

"Look at me, I own idiots who use kb/m!" "No look at me, I own fools who use controllers!" "No look at me, it takes more skill to use my thumbs and kb/m is cheep!" "Look at me, I win because you only kill scubs!" "No look at me, I don't need auto aim, I turn it off!" "Look at me, JUST LOOK AT ME!"
This is why I hate most fps in general. Its not the game, its the competitive "spirit" of it all. |

auto aim was introduced as a means to counter lag. in most games its not noticable and still heavily reliant on actual player's abilities to line up the shot. and the auto aim magic happened server side.
However it seems lately that they're getting lazier and its obviously noticable in alot of games.
I would talk about it in dust 514 however that be breaking NDA.

Aye, certain game Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty are good example of Auto-Aim gone mad imo Some of them even claim you can turn it "off" but it never really does, which pisses me off.
Think now it is being used mostly to the point where they're basically babysitting new players, who still can't hit anything. Anyone wants to see the difference between a game with Auto-Aim and without Auto-Aim on the Consoles: Perfect Dark Zero (Aim Assist can be 100% turned off) then there is Halo: Reach where even set to off is STILL active and costs me kills often in hectic fights as the gun starts following someone who ran between you and your target.
Always found PDZ was one of the most competitive games on XBL for a long time, but the sheer difficulty most players meant it was never particularly popular outside of hardcore MLG circles.

I know there are alternatives, just a shame that controller is so damn expensive. Kinda would prefer them to support the CrossFire cause you can get it for like -ú10 (and I already have one for using the 360 Wireless hardware on my PC) ^_^ |
