Couriers are the greatest thing about EVE (other than Ninja Salvagers). I can't tell you how much time I have saved by throwing up a contract to have someone haul stuff across the galaxy for me. They do it fast and they do it cheap! I moved to Dodixie from Tama and the thought of hauling a station full of stuff 23 jumps each way almost made my cry! But over the course of a few night I put up some Courier Contracts and various people did all the hauling for me! I moved 10 ships and probably 3 or 4 Iterons full of stuff all the way to Dixie for less than 30 million ISK!
One time I even put up a courier contract to have something hauled ONE SYSTEM (both hi-sec) cause I was just that darn lazy!
So use those Courier Contracts people, and don't be ashamed to do them in High Sec either! There are lots of people out there who want to be haulers who are probably tired of just moving ice around!

No one ever takes my courier contracts, they are normally all high sec, par and collateral are decent too... guess I must just be in the wrong area

Don't know quite how you get the items into the hands of the couriers (and back into yours), but I do check what folks are offering for their services and it seems pitifully low.
Also have heard stories of couriers getting scammed, but it seems to be a profession even worse than mining for the time vs reward.
Hope you courier types continue to make it work for you, my hat's off to ya......

Most people who do courier contracts dont do that as a full time job.they fly the route anyway and fill what cargo space they have left with contracts.

Couriers should get paid more. I'm not one. But a lot of them don't charge nearly what they deserve to get. I found a great jump freighter pilot to do deliveries from jita to low-sec, and vice versa. This was just going to be until I saved up for my own (since I can fly one, but 4.5 bill ). But at the price I'm being charged, I'd have to have like 150 deliveries done. I currently need stuff delivered about every 3 weeks. At that rate, it would take over 8 YEARS to spend as much having stuff delivered as it would to buy my own JF, and that's not including the fuel I'd use! Thank you freighter man, and for god's sake you should get paid more
